Rather have something like a df+MP overhead.
I honestly don’t see why bison needs an overhead. His pressure game is more solid than most characters that HAVE a hi/low/throw game. Seems wasteful to design that for bison.
Unless we’re bringing back his instant overhead. That was a fun gimmick.
His pressure game can’t even penetrate the top five to six characters in the game properly and most people use them.
So, he needs an overhead for the top 6 characters in the game? The characters that, aside from sagat, he has 5-5 games against?
I don’t see the logic. I’d rather capcom focus on fixing all the moves that don’t work right (PC, j.MP, HS, ultra, etc) then add on a move that he doesn’t need.
He needs an overhead in general because his pressure is still crappy. I don’t care about the other stuff people posted, just need few frame tweaks and he’s good to go.
His pressure is solid, and an overhead wouldn’t be a significant boost to his game.
What he needs, is more consistency. More damage output. Bison managed to be a successful offensive character in other games without an overhead, and I’d rather they bring back what worked before (within reason) than give him a new move.
Not saying you’re wrong in wanting one, just saying there are other things more important that he needs.
giving bison an overhead would be lovely. the overhead wouldn’t even need to combo.
love the idea of "they guess wrong and block low, they eat an overhead. they guess wrong and block high, they eat 3xcr.LK xx SK."
it would’ve been cool if the overhead would leave you at 0 frames on block so that bison can follow up with a cr.LK xx SK for some nice chips against rufus and other characters.
leaving you at +4 on block would be insane (as in never gonna happen). overhead, cr.lk xx lk.sk would be a nice blockstring.
but i’m not expecting it. but it’s a cool thought, even though it’s probably never gonna happen. never. period. at least not in ssf4.
His damage is there. He just can’t land it because he doesn’t have good pressure. That’s the point of the overhead; to break all the d/b holders waiting to Ex/reversal Bison’s moves.
or they could fix his faults and give him an overhead? :bgrin:
overheads should be universal wasnt it like that in 3S?
IMO an overhead wouldn’t help that much. I would look at it as a addition to his mix up BUT nothing important. His head stomp and PC are in question to me but in all he’s a great character IF you know what you’re doing the character works best under baits, throws and corner pressure IMO j.mp is a great move sf4 is easy to play n be good in comparison to other games like cvs 2 sf3 with that being said practice hard and all should be fine…IF you know what you’re doing if not Pick another character simple as that
Does the period key only work sporadically on your keyboard?
I think they need to make his St.HK better. It’s not good enough yet.
really? Its so fvcking good right now, capcom may nerf it. it beat almost all normals. the normals that beat it are slow normals like hondas st.HP.
It almost all sagat and ryu normals.
Nah, give his s.HK two hits to break focus, level it with Sagat’s.
:u: that would make Dic nasty. GS T$ didnt think bout that
I just have this sinking feeling that if they gave bison an overhead, it would be a terrible move. Like, - 5 on hit or some nonsense. I’d prefer they buff existing moves, since it’s less potential for capcom to mess it up.
A bigger grab range would be nice.
An overhead would be nice but Bison doesn’t need it. His sweet spot is not as close to the opponent as having an overhead would suggest, unless it’s a forward hopping one like Feis’ or Vipers’, which would honestly be too good for Bison to have.
I say he doesn’t really need it because even if they’re blocking with lk scissors chip, you can continue to safely cause damage to them, which is pressure in an of itself. All I think Bison really needs are his other specials to be buffed, and slightly more damage (like, maybe 5% more) on his medium and light strength normals, as well as his specials.
Overhead would be awesome^^Forward moving like fei longs. One thing I hope they change is EXPC should be invincible start up. I hate having EXPC crossed up and it flips me back into my opponent and or getting thrown out of EXPC. If it had Invincible frames it could be used as anti air more reliably also.
EX Psycho Crusher has 13 frames of start up invincibility. You’re getting hit from the cross up is probably the invincibility wore.
How do you get thrown out of EXPC if it has invincibility on startup?
