Why does Psycho Crusher suck Capcom? Why.
Hi. You are instructed to die in a fire promptly. Please locate your nearest source of extreme heat and immediately kill yourself in its purifying flames.
You may catch that on someone who’s never seen it before or online scrubs but that shit will not work against any player that is worth anything. And like someone said before, the tactic is somewhat useful because you have frame advantage, not Ultra.
I Slide after knockdown for chip ultra sometimes. I’ve not been beaten out of yet.
I dunno, landed it on people who DO know what they’re doing.
I aint saying its my #1 trick and I do it the moment I have ultra, but man, I catch people with Slide -> EX SK all the time, and ultra probably about 20%. When you’re in a crazy match, and you think you have the victory, it works. Does it work vs the top players in the world? Probably not.
But how many of us truly play those guys?
and DontDoDat, not 100% sure on other characters, but Ken and Sagats ultra will beat you if you try that.
Back a few months there was a discussion (if you can call it that) about Bison letting go of his Psycho crusher for Psycho Shot. I was quick to jump in the defense of the classic but weak incarnation of Psycho crusher.
But after giving it some thought, if Psycho Crusher isn’t fix and stays the same for SSF4 and I had to choose between Psycho Crusher or Psycho Shot, I would pick Psycho Shot.
Hm, interesting. I wouldn’t mind Bison getting Psycho Shot, but I don’t think I could give up EX Psycho Crusher.
If Bison’s Psycho Shot had the same recovery as Guile’s sonic boom and his Ex version does knockdowns I can toss even EX Psycho Crusher aside, with Bison’s rush game, he would be a monster.
Word!
until you get cornered and torn apart.
I mainly use Ex SK along with empty HS into (depending on what my opponent is trying to do ) DF to get out of the corner, since I have been thrown out of Ex Psycho Crusher alot now a days, or I jump back while in the corner and land a combo and I’m out.
but I see where most of you guys are coming from.
The point we’re trying to make is that you don’t need to be a “top player” to not fall for silly tricks. If you’re landing your shenanigans all the time, then I seriously doubt the people you play know what they’re doing.
That said, there’s nothing wrong with resorting to tricks every now and then, but you’re making it seem like what you do is a legitimate tactic that will work most of the time when it most definitely won’t. Or at least shouldn’t.
Anyway
Bison doesn’t need a projectile in Super. That’s the lazy way out of solving his problems.
Hell, it’s counter productive to his forward offense design.
And my point is that I dont use it non stop. I never said it lands all the time either. Just that it’s a viable tactic. If you want to never use it, be my guest.
either way, it’s helpful to know ALL the tools at your disposal.
agreed…no psycho shot please. Just fix PC instead
This was in reference to this quote:
And earlier on when you said you use NB in almost every match.
We can agree on this.
After hearing that this game will be promoting offense more, I started thinking about Knee Press getting more advantage. Short version being +2 on block and forward being +/- 0 are the changes I want most now.
As strong as SK is, it could be better without being overpowered. Being cancelled by LP or throws is lame. MK SK could use a boost too.
Putting it in the air earlier would be nice. They could let you FADC off of PC if they sped it up slightly and you could do mix ups.
Overhead Capcom overhead!
PC knocks down
As a Bison player this really hurts my heart ;(
I think he meant on block and you can already FADC PC you just have to do it deep.
