J.Wong or whoever was using Bison probably didnt know that you can control the ultra like fuerte’s first ultra, maybe he was accidently holding/pushed foward or back.

no charge required! walk forward against a fireball character and BOOM psycho punish that plasma on reaction. whiffed srk with no charge? psycho punish. lets hope it works on jump ins, it would be awesome if it worked as an anti-air as well.

super shoryu, can you describe more of its properties or how it lands? could it work as an anti-air or perhaps be beat out by normals?

Not sure about using it as an anti-air or how much invincibility it has, however, the previous setup for ultra 1, Jumping Target Combo x Ultra works for the new ultra as well.

hmmm this is kind of unfortunate though for having 2 different ultras for 2 different strategy types. nightmare booster has no use outside of the hell attack setup and if psycho punisher gets any other properties or setups then nightmare booster will never be used. that plus the qcf movement makes it more practical since it doesnt require a charge. overall im happy just curious still as to its properties. will probably have a better idea once the official combo vid shows up.

by the way it sounds like you ended up playing him, notice any other changes? changes to normals, links, etc?

Qcf motion was the deal-breaker for me. It looks fast enough to punish a sonic boom on reaction.

Links are definitely easier. Short, Short, Short x Scissors was noticeably easier to do.

^ great to hear. All of bison’s bnbs require 1-2 frame links so this should definitely help.

so what would technically make it easier would be to change some of these factors:
-speed up startup (not happening obviously)
-reduce recovery time (8 currently)
-increase block/hit stun (+10 and +13 respectively)

All you’d really need to change is block/hit stun by one or two frames and it’s easier right off the bat. If blockstun is changed to 11 and hitstun 14 not only do you have an extra frame’s leniency in linking right on hit but it would now be safe on block! That would be a major improvement to bison’s pressure game without even having to add a new move.

I’m very excited because the above seems to be a very likely change. the on hit linking isn’t really a buff since it’s all muscle memory anyways, but making it safe on block is a must.

Sorry to keep bugging you Shoryu and I know this is probably an early build but seeing as how some tiny changes were made (probably a long long time ago) but I’d like to know if you noticed anything different about PC, HS and Skull diver.

So…is Psycho Crusher still ass? Any noticeable damage/hitbox/speed difference?

Wonder what Kuma and the gang cook up with this ultra, but really I am very happy that Short, Short, Short x Scissors is easier to do, that made my early morning while the new Ultra is just icing on the cake.

I’m looking forward to Psycho Punisher. I have a feeling PC -> FADC -> Psycho Punisher will work.

whoa dude that’s an interesting thought…doesn’t FADC’d PC knockdown though?

maybe fadc’d scissors would work since it seems so instantaneous. either way we can combo into it from hell attack still, so that’s at least something.

Could be just me, but anybody else worried about how the new ultra will interact with the TP shortcuts?

that ‘issue’ already exists with his current ultra. so nah i’m not worried. just a matter of not rushing the input.
