The SSF4 Dictator Request Thread

EX PC just shouldn’t be throwable and it should pretty much a guaranteed escape/punish (out of dumb option selects ect) unless it is predicted and the other guy baits it by jumping back or something.

If c .hp is a little faster by like a frame or 2 thats ok but really I see Bison as an offense character and they should just buff his offensive abilities. They could do this by simply making PC a bit more scarier by adding stun and/or damage so throwing out a random reversal to break sk loop actually gets you into a lot of trouble.

Would be nice if they let skull diver cross up and had the arm come out at different angles depending on lp, mp, hp, ex.

As many other have said j mp needs to be tweaked and way more threateing. It gets beat 99% of the time by Rufus juggle kick and Ryu’s fist pump and they already have 5000 ways to combo into ultra.

I just want PC to be able to catch people who jump back from half screen, all the time.

If they decide to give it a use in combos over SK (ie-more damage, less stun, or just same damage, more stun), I wouldn’t complain.

I just want:

  1. SK invincibility startup frames. No more trading
  2. HS not avoidable by walking back
  3. Change to +5 on hit with c.LK, so it will be harder to miss the link and eating a DP reversal
  4. Make all versions of PC do more damage than it’s mirror version of SK, so it’s worth the risk of using it during a combo because of not being safe on block
  5. Make s(far).HP cancelable into a special move
  6. DR should be crossup if you’re near enough your opponent
  7. HS should stun a little more the character so it’s comboable to a Skull if it connects
  8. If Ryu, Sagat, Rufus (omg) has ways to link into FULL Ultra, create it also for all the another characters, including Bison, I don’t mind if they remove j.MP x2

I think that’s it.

Now it does more stun than the SK, but anyway most Bisons, including me, consider it’s not worth the risk to leave you wide open because a missed link because of just wanting to add a little more stun to the combo.

Bison’s speed is good enough to where he doesn’t need that IMO.

I’m a Ken player but Bison and Fei are my two favorite match ups (and to some degree Ryu) so bare with me here lol.

I think his head stomp is already dangerous, but it is limited. On wakeup, if Bison doesn’t have meter, I can really mess with him as a Ken player. I agree that headstomp is too easily avoided, though It should have weaknesses so it won’t be spammed. Walking back to avoid it is I think a bit too much. It does have invincibility though, so you can only block and J.mk it out of the air.

His Psycho crusher needs to be more powerful, since it’s an unsafe move. I would rather it be like the blanka ball than it’s current state. Just allow it to be jabbed out to avoid spamming.

Ultra needs more opportunities. It’s like Ken’s Ultra–very good when it hits, but not many opportunities for that to happen.

Other than that, his normals are a beast, has a great FA, scissor kick is awesome, good speed, just a really solid character. But I do see his weakness in the above three that need to be changed simply from being his opponent so much. I didn’t read a whole lot of this thread, so plz forgive me If I’m simply repeating.

It can be jabbed. I’ve been close standing fierced out of it by Akuma too.

It’s a sorry state of affairs when M. BISON can be essentially slapped out of his PSYCHO CRUSHER.

^ truth. wtf was capcom thinking? its like jabbing away a tiger shot or something, its ridiculous. then again he did get a little impatient for his new body. heres to hoping he gets back his signature special in a form worth using, rather than something they just threw in there for nostalgia’s sake but horribly nerfed in the most literal sense. the packing peanuts my fightstick came in stand up to more pressure.

out of all the things requested here i bet we’d all be satisfied if they changed nothing but gave him a legit anti-air psycho crusher. if you jump i dont care if you have a god roundhouse or fierce, you should be eaten in purple flames.

Headstomp really needs to be safer than it is. Doesn’t have to be SAFE but Bison shouldn’t die when it misses. Same thing with DR- tho DR needs a lot of tweaking and probably needs armor break.

Yeah PC needs to be different. Whether they just add damage/stun or give it a much better hitbox and make it a bit safer /faster its obvious how worthless the move is (besides ex).

as it stands all you have to do is walk backwards and get ready to start mashing throw. If Bison was attempting to HS, you get a throw. If he was attempting to empty DR, you throw tech. The risk is all on Bisons side, with relatively no reward (especially when you HS pretty much right through the fucking guy, landing on his toes)

The only way this can work in Bisons favour is if you keep back charge while empty DRing, and ultra (as even exSK will end with Bison getting thrown).

I get the feeling you will see HS force people to block in SSFIV, on top of other boosts.

I am still crossing my fingers that Bison will be allowed to exSD after AA regular HS (rather than how its currently only possible after AA Ex HS)

DR should be two hitter as standard. EX should cause Bison to drop down for the attack immediately, and vertically, with THREE hits.

What if his overall damage output was increased to slightly less than sagat levels. I feel for a character that’s supposed to be all or nothing offense he’s lacking in the offense part. At least in super turbo if i do something with bison it could be really good or really bad not meh or really bad.

just increase dictator’s damage on normals, scissors and psycho crusher. he’s already a pretty good character it’s just he’s high risk medium reward. he doesn’t need to make AMAZING OMGWTF ULTRA FINISH comebacks, he should be IFC from 100% to 0, or dead/struggling. real talk.

plus figuring out how to implement an ultra setup for him is raping my brain.

yeah, you should stop posting now. bison’s escape move with really good priority shouldn’t be able to be punished when used retardedly, is basically your point. bison is an advanced character, if you can’t handle that then i recommend you pick a different choice.

Oh, yes, I completely agree that he’s advanced and really, that stuff I put up there? I don’t necessarily agree with it. Yup, I suggested it, and I think it should be in there, but I don’t like that it should be.

It would be no more overpowered than a bunch of other shit in this game. See: Ryus’ recovery on EX Tatsu (which causes 200 damage, is cancellable and juggles ultra in the corner lawls).

And DR CAN be punished. On the way up AND down. EX or not. Even with my suggested changes.

i’m saying if you’re trapped and you use devil’s reverse, you’ve properly used it. using it to push for an advantage or any other situation where you will be swinging bison wildly toward them isn’t the best except for matchup specific situations. it’s an escape and meter building tool, if you get caught being dumb with it, you get crumpled and take damage.

it’s still a low risk move, imo. at least ex is.
