That was proven middle of the thread. Now folks just WANT it to be, good times.
I never played CvS2, so I’m not sure why everyone’s got such a huge hard on for it. I’ve only see it being spammed in custom combos.
ANYWAYS… There’s so many frame tweaks I’m hoping for. We should be getting the last batch of new characters soon and then perhaps we’ll start seeing more of the original cast with their new stuff in January up to the release of Super SFIV. Get hype!
I think part of being the supervillain that he is is his desire to make all opponents feel inferior. To him, his opponent is a worthless gnat and they must feel that a fight with him is hopeless. With every trick he has it is more and more apparent that his number one goal is to create problems within his enemy’s head. He must plant the seeds of doubt every step of the way so that his enemy will second guess their every move. He must control their mind and make them think “He can’t get me from where he is.” or “I cannot be punished for this tactic.” or “He is not dangerous in this situation.”, then he will prove them wrong, effectively blowing their mind. He must appear to be God to his opponents, because in his mind that’s what he is.
tldr; make his teleport better so he has more tricks and options. His teleport appears to be the best in the game at first glance because he teleports instantly to his target location, but it is much too laggy when you actually try it yourself.
Also, the punch move after headstomp should have an EX version that is an air grab.
Not only that, but the fact that people want Bison to have a fireball negating attack is absurd considering he thrives on baiting fireballs. People are insane.:wtf:
If Bison ever gets an overhead it should be a simple attack like B+MP, this would allow him to hold a charge while performing the overhead. Psycho Banish while cool in CvS2, should be banished for good.
Like MANY have said in this ridiculously long thread, Bison has ALL the tools he would ever need right now, they just need to be tweaked to function better. Tweak his Crusher, teleport and aerial mix ups and he is good to go.
I don’t want him to even be able to combo into Ultra, rather I just want a better ultra that comes out much faster (like his Mega Psycho Crusher) so one can punish faster and harder.
Or just give him another special along with Skull Diver after the stomp, like pressing K or D+P would initiate a deathly throw in the same fashion Claw can perform a throw or an attack.
The spacing isn’t strict at all, you just have to not be too close to Zangief when you do it.
edit: dude, you just helped up my pressure game against Gief which I thought was nonexistent. spacing isnt TOO strict, you gotta be close enough not to whiff, but it doesnt require too much precision. i couldnt get the recording dummy to do the AA lariat properly so I assumed it just didnt work. the gief I played tonight was pretty bad however, but yes he was doing the correct timing for AA lariat and goddamn it felt good to stuff it clean. Excited to try it out against a good Gief player and see what mixup options there are with it. I’m guessing just intuitively that headbutt would beat it, but you can do it from such a far distance that you might just completely miss each other because of the wonky hitbox. off topic, but rad nonetheless. even if its handy for just this one matchup, capcom has got to keep this. i just wish we could find more solid go-to uses for it.
nigga don’t even. He was playing under my account. We fuckin ran a train on your fully repped ass. Corrosive is very knowledgeable about bison, he placed Top16 at Summerjam taking out players like Issei and Eric Kim even after he stopped practicing the game. Where are you from?
I hate butting into other forums discussions like this, but god I hate people that think their rep bars gives them superiority even though they’re ass at the game.
Are you trolling us brah? Of course its an overhead…
laud, thats a common mistake so I wont fault you for calling it nee junks. I use this move twice a day, gets me honnies all the time.
The rest ya’ll are yapping like school girls. Am I gonna have to shove my dick down your throats till you gag like that chick from last night. Man she wouldnt stop talking, just had to shut her up with my penis.
Exellent '09er impression :rock::lol::tup:
thanks, i appreciate the leeway. i am an 09er after all, but thats’ why im here, to learn.
that last part is just gross, haha.
anyways, i brought this up a while back just kind of daydreaming but I kind of like the idea of EX armor on the launch of EX DR. basically the only reason you have EX DR is for the invincibility to escape but you can easily be swatted out of it by a neutral jump attack or a variety of other moves. It’d be nice if you could still take the hit and still get out of there. do you guys think thatd be too much, unnecessary or perhaps useful? if not this, it’d be nice if EX Dr’s punch didnt require an extra stock and your EX DR’s activation could carry through to the punch attack. i guess its nice that you can do a regular DR and punish FA attempts with EX punch, but I can rarely bait this out.
They should give bison his fake slide from HDR.
Mega Psycho Crusher… as in the Boss one in SFA series? That would make a nice alternate Ultra
hmm… Psycho Cross… starts like Mega PC but he ‘crosses up the enemy’ then warps under them for a vertical PC ‘forming a cross’ then warps to the ground and taunts ‘with arms crossed’ as the enemy drops behind him.
Super buff: get rid of shortcuts and shorten the reversal window (or whatever will make reversals harder to pull off).
Bison’s pretty great how he is. While I like the idea of a faster headstomp and psycho crusher, they just wouldn’t be necessary if Bison had a good block string you can’t just mash out of, or if you could actually gamble with meaty attacks that are hard to reversal. Bison used to be high risk, high reward in the II series, now he’s high risk, moderate reward and it isn’t character design’s fault at all.
I kinda like the ideas about shortening warp recovery, but Bison’s an offensive character so I think if it is done it shouldn’t be too drastic. Don’t give him a get out of jail free card, the big problem I have with this game is that too many characters are approaching that.
yeah I really like bison having shitty defense. giving him defense would just make him broken. just up his offense and make his mixups more nightmarish.
faster PC
tweaked HS
improved DR
improved ultra setup
corner combos.
this is what i would do to make bison top tier in ssf4:
- greater scissor kick damage
done.
great, another reason to use it over PC lol
anywho, anybody know the name of the move Bison had where he would rush at the opponent and hit em with a two hit punch combo? I think it was in CvS2. I’d like him to have that move though, with EX launching
and yet again, NO to fireballs. As an ultra, if done well, no problem. But not as a special.
Now, if sFP threw fireballs as if Bison had a reality gem going for him, then hells yeah
and yeah, I would still prefer him to get a normal overhead
Kinda a nitpick
I always liked the fact that in the SF2 games that his MK and HK have the same animation. Makes for some great mixups and messing with peoples heads in terms of timing. I do like the higher HK he has had since since it definately helps his game in some areas, but I also want his old HK back.
Maybe make the current HK for the b+HK and f+HK commands and return us the old neutral standing HK as well.
He should have the Infinite Gauntlet and all of Thano’s supers from War of the Gems
His fireball should be kittens, and if you block them they cry and explode…if you block 5 kittens he starts throwing infants, then nuns, then pandas. If you can allow 5 each of kittens, infants, nuns and pandas to die a painful exploding whimpering messy death; then you should be playing Bison actually.
I thought so at first, but it is actually unnecessary. ST doesn’t have dashing remember, or the ability to feint a FA and dash in.
He should have Shin Bison’s cr.hp from SFA3…yeah…the one that juggles.
