The risk/reward of having an overhead crumple would mean that it would be so slow to the point of being useless. Or it would eat up 2-3 bars of meter.
I’m ambivalent towards having a regular overhead, though.
Also ryu and sagat can ultra combo from EX moves that put you in a juggle state like EX hadoken and EX tiger upper. also if bison was given a EX crumple move he wouldn’t need a way to launch his opponent for a juggle ultra so he would play basically the same.
Somthing i think will would help him is if he could do EX hell attack. make it have a bigger hitbox/priority on EX version cause hell attack trades alot
it would be better to have the regular version of that move be an overhead, then the ex would be two hit (down swing then up swing), launching them.
They removed that property.
No the move crumbles but you cannot followup with an ultra now.
Really hope they change their mind on that. Ruffus gets an ultra off a fucking standing SHORT using no meter at ALL. What makes them think this is overpowered??
LOL maybe they realize that rufus’ target combo into ultra is whack and don’t want to repeat the same nonsense with DJ?
/me Points at Balrog. That’s a better comparison for DJ. Though DJ uses Meter I’m pretty sure his Ultra won’t scale out like Rog’s does. DJ would have an all but guaranteed Ultra setup, like Rog, but do lots more damage at the measily cost of 1 EX stock.
Rufus is just plain retarded lol
All that was confirmed to be removed was the EX Dread kicks into EX Dread kicks loop, which we never even saw anyone do. EX Dread Kicks -> Ultra may still exist.
Fuckin hope so.
It’d be a fucked up shame if finally another character gets a legit Ultra setup and before we even touch the game they put their tails between their legs and say “oh no it’s OP let’s take it out”.
Here’s hoping EX Sobat Kicks still combos into Ultra!
Theres a direct feed video on youtube that shows that combo (sorry, can’t link it, using the Wii browser, be go to the onmix.co.uk forums > Multiplatipus and it’s posted in the SF4 thread =] ). It CRUMPLES. why the hell would you not be able to ultra? You can do any move you want.
EX Psycho Banish would be with a crumple effect. The move, however, must not be overhead and it should have long startup so only close Hp would cancel into it.
Combined with regular Psycho Banish, I think Bison would already be at Sagat’s level with these tools.
If people are going to talk about EX Dread Kicks, perhaps they want to take it to the DeeJay thread? I know they’re talking about race identity and shit, and it’s kinda scary, but it is the appropriate thread.
Also, lol at people seriously discussing EX psycho banish crumple like it’s not just random forum talk .
EX-Dread Kick isn’t gonna ship with crumples on top.
Who knows man, maybe somebody over at Capcom Japan had the same idea.
Can’t tell me that shit wouldn’t be boss as fuck though. And IF the EX version really did crumple, it’d have to be slow enough to where you can’t combo into it, but it’s still viable by itself. Then there’s no crying about how OP it is.
Why wouldn’t the EX version be an overheard? when the normal Psycho Banish is a splashy over head to begin with? I agree about the slow start up, but also taking away the over head powa of the EX version seems to be a bit much.
Naw, M.Bison would be where he is spouse to be, the original boss level.:lovin:
(EX) Headstomp: wider hitbox (so like that can be avoided with backdash but not merely walking back); be able to bounce on both sides at equal distances after hit/block, and have the bounce itself travel faster
(EX) Skulldiver: extend its hitbox downwards, can also be executed from behind if you bounce past the opponent
Scissors: fine
EX scissors: instead of knocking down the opponent, leave bison at +4 on hit (and +6 on counterhit). Damage scaling keeps that from being abusable and gives him some longer combo that actually does some damage. Still quite unsafe on block.
Psycho Crusher: all versions airborne from frame 1 (giving that to scissors could be broken); raise blockstun from 20/20/20 for all the 3 punches to 24/28/32. Still slow, but properly spaced ones are safer on block and actually lead to some shenanigans. Have HP version travel SLIGHTLY faster (not up to EX speed). Keep the extremely good chip damage.
EX Psycho Crusher: get rid of stupid fireball absorb proprerty and give it proper fireball immunity. Crumple on counterhit would be interesting (shouldn’t lead to ultra since you are on the other side? dunno)
(EX) Devil reverse: be able to go to the other side and crossup, otherwise the same.
Teleport: recover 6 frames faster (still a bit slower than Seth’s, but far more viable)
diagonal jump MK: little wider hitbox in front and 0/1 frame startup so it can be used as an instant overhead ST stile
cHP: 9 frames startup
all those buffs would keep Bison true to it’s sf4 style, or “purposed style” that they where aiming for but fell short of, making him really good but not broken or anything. With those buffs the Ultra could remain as it is, I’m all for variety and it fits him having an ultra that works as a big punishing move but not much comboable.
Okay, look, Headstomp, you what Headstomp needs? Headstomp needs to to work like focus attack, where even if it’s half a screen away and it’s not actually attacking yet, all holding back does is make you block. This would require people to make a conscious effort to move out of the way and punish, instead of just be walking back accidentally for a free punish. It doesn’t need to track better, it just needs to beat the accidental option select which evades it and allows you to punish now.
I like this list of suggestions
