I’ve had a lot of fun with Juggernaut lately. I usually don’t venture that far outside of Inf, but I had somehow spawned as a Jug on accident and proceeded to fuck shit up. That spinfusor is so easy to blueplate with, its ridiculous.
Getting increasingly pissed off with the way people don’t work as a team. I mean, I’m used to it from other FPSs, but jesus christ, some of these fuckers are mad retarded.
Killing stupid people with your fat because they fly right into you while trying to cap or deliberately getting in the enemy’s way is so satisfying. Doesn’t happen a whole lot, but it feels good when it does happen.
Raindance dropped from pro maps, as is the plasma, oh well.
also 29:0 ain’t shit, if you just go for kills, you should be shooting for 50-60, if you want to pay CTF, odds are you’ll clock in around 20 tops if you are doing it right. holla if anybody remembers team 5150
You could say you did something completely absurd like going 500-0 in the first 3 minutes of a 1v5 CTF match and acerbic would say that you didnt do very good.
Man, I mostly get around 4 to 6 kills a game. I suck really bad at this shit but I keep playing it. Ive added a bunch of people to my friends list but I never see anyone on. Like Rabbit saying something about getting thousands of experience a game. Shit, I only get around 300 experience a match.
Yeah, bingo, the system is designed to help those that paid. IMHO but a VIP pack once and keep it, booster isn’t all that.
No I’ve just been playing tribes competitive since the first one. Racking up past 50 is pretty easy, getting slayer is easy. Most people don’t know how to play this series and the matching is sadly broken. I’m champion level and frequently get tossed into matches with bronze level players, it’s a joke.
And by CTF I mean actually trying to cap and kill cappers, not kill farming. Playing to kill, 50 is easy to get. Playing to actually move and hold the flag, you won’t get that high. I’ve seen people with over 29 midairs in maps, it’s not much at all. It’s very easy to drive up your score playing capture the generator or just gunning for people. Very hard to do if you are trying to play CTF in the proper way.
I used to be fairly good at this game, but it took me a loooong time to get halfway decent, I finally started getting good when I figured out the angles and where to shoot with the laser rifle.
I never got as good as some of these freaks who could shoot people out of the sky with the freakin disc gun on a regular basis. :annoy:
Sometimes it got so bad, I could swear there was some aimbot shenanigans going on.
My record with plasma is 52 mid air kills, 23 with a soldiers spinfusor, more than that with the heavies but it’s been a while since I used one. That’s in a single map
Here is the problem, and I’m looking for the way to say this nicely.
This is a harder FPS than that call of duty shit, by a huge margin. To make matters worse, some of us have been playing this game since the late 90s, the Tribes 1 clan servers are still up and we’ve played off and on since that game was released. So there are a lot of people in this game who have well over a decade of midairing people down under their belts.
The kicker with tribes is that your projectiles inherit a bit of your momentum. This is odd for most people because if you’re moving with them at the same speed and shoot at them, you won’t hit, it will fly wide. But what it does let you do is push shots harder and faster than they should go. If you can master it, mid airs ain’t no thang and easy as hell to abuse. For those of us who got white listed in the beta (private locked servers for old schoolers and pro players) mid airing people with mortars was a regular thing.
Just keep in mind some of us have been playing this game since 1998, and it was a lot faster and harder back then. This is kinda tribes in slow motion. And back then you HAD to hit your mid airs, wasn’t any other way about it.
