Tribes is a free to play FPS that is based on momentum and going fast as hell. It currently offers 3 game modes. TDM, CTF, and Rabbit. For those of you familiar with Oddball from the Halo franchise, you will know exactly what Rabbit is. TDM and CTF is standard fare.
Its pretty much Red vs Blue with class based weapon load outs and armor. I’ve added a pretty slick tutorial image that should help people grasp the basic concepts of the game. This is NOT an easy game… at first. You will die. You will die a lot.
Aw man, I’ve been trying to download this all day, I keep getting stuck at 2% though. I don’t know what to do, and my roommates playing this all day only makes me want to play it more D=
Back when I got into Everquest Tribes was the only other game I heard about. Needless to say, I never logged out of EQ long enough to try it out, so perhaps I will. But after the beta. Getting a FB account is not worth any game. :tup:
I will sign up when I get home. Manx, just make a fake FB account. Call it I want tribes. Then never use it again. Thats like what, five minutes of your time?
I used to play Tribes a ton back in the day. I’ll see how this one is, considering the last Tribes game was a trainwreck
Yeah, F2P, but they do offer xp boosts and gold for real money. It doesn’t give you a golden gun or anything stupid, but it helps you unlock stuff faster.
sweet, i aint out of here until 7EST anyways, but it’d be nice to come home, and hopefully my roommate can start the download for me ahead of time so I can play when I get home
False alarm. I only had one key available, and I sent it to Manx since he didn’t have facebook. However, it takes like 2 seconds to get one if you have facebook. I BELIVE IN YOU.
I love this game, my username is FuzzySnugs. I usually play TDM at the moment because I really just want to practice my aim. I really wish there was an MGE style mode for this game like in TF2.
