Speaking strictly from the point of view of someone who recognizes the apparent state of flux that exists between trolls and goblins, understands that the most potent weapon of a benevolent ghost is the trusty fire extinguisher, and believes that an RV filled with popcorn is a suitable conclusion to any subplot… I think Troll 2 is a solid 8 out of 10.

this is really some crap, 2 were pretty enjoyable of the 10 i watched so those will be the 1st two for my new unnamed company (i was thinking of Holla If Cha Hear Me)
i’m going to start remastering one tomorrow and writing up a synopsis and looking for sites to sell it on, if anyone wants to buy them when they’re out i’ll sell it for cost
I watched Dominion this evening (Paul Schrader’s version of the Exorcist prequel). It was very good. I’m a big fan of Schrader’s writing, but this is the first of his directorial projects that I’ve seen. I definitely need to look at more of his stuff.
I haven’t seen the second version, directed by Renny Harlin. I’m not sure I intend to. If I do, it’ll probably be out of curiosity, to see what the studio deemed would be more mainstream-friendly than Schrader’s original take.
Atonement - Overall movie seem pretty good but the music made me sleepy…Maybe the movie i dont know but seem pretty solid…7 out 10
Rendition - To torture or not to torture that is the question…Pretty solid film…In the film “If you beat your wife in the morning and then don’t know why…then she does…” Can anybody explain what that meant…Anyway 7.5 out 10
Forbidden Kingdom - Jackie & Jet w/ asian beauties nuff said 9/10
I whole heartedly agree on your reviews on the six SW movies. 1 & 2 were awful and an insult to his own Star Wars legacy. The Ewoks ruined RotJ. Fucking stupid.
Forbidden Kingdom was pretty good if you had to right kind of expectations for it. The plot was far from amazing, the fight scenes were really well done, and the villains were cool - hell, they even managed to make me not hate the white boy for ruining what could have been an epic Hong Kong movie… Oh well. 7.5/10, easily.
i watched lars and tye real girl recently and i was pleasantly surprised. it wasn’t a silly, indie comedy, but a touching film about human interactions. loved it. i can’t understand how this got overlooked and juno got so many nods. and, i do like juno, so thi isn’t juno hate…
anyone pick up cloverfield on dvd? are the special features any good? i haven’t seen it yet, but i might hold out for a blu ray release, doesn’t look like a movie i’d want to buy twice in less than a year. i read they were going to do a really cool interactive thing with HD DVD and online, but then hd dvd died so it got scraped and Paramount hasn’t gone back to releasing on blu yet

I loved everything about There Will Be Blood except the slow pacing… DDL’s performance just begged for an Oscar… memorable characters, great cinematography, perfectly appropriate score and my favorite ending scene in recent memory… is there another quality ‘character study’ film this decade?
I know this is technically an anime film, but it’s too good to be confined by a label.

If you have not seen this film, do yourself a favor and set aside an hour and a half to watch this powerful, emotional film. I cannot even express in words how powerful this flim was for me to watch…
I thought that his line delivery was hit or miss. Like the getting away from it all and milkshake ones were great but then you have hammy stuff like “I’ve abandoned my boy!”
