The SRK Movie Fanatic Thread (REVIEWS, QUESTIONS, RANTS, STARS...ETC.) EVERYTHING!

King has admitted he was on so much coke at the time that he doesnt remember writing it

looks like Descent 2 will follow the American ending…

sounds like 2005-06 rsigley posts

too bad i didn’t somehow make a lot of money off of them

i like to give every movie a chance which is why i end up buying every new release on blu ray/hd dvd and a lot of the catalog titles, but i’m thinking about reconsidering after dropping $60 for The Game Plan, Mr. Woodcock, and Good Luck Chuck and watching them all in a row because i didn’t want to waste money

$60 isn’t that big of a deal to me, but i feel like that money could be used in so many better ways

like giving it to a bum or my degenerate gambling friends

maybe tipping my mail woman so she doesn’t leave my packages in a puddle on my steps instead of just carrying it up to my porch and putting it on my deck

pretty surprising they’re even making a sequel

it made decent money in the US, but the US horror market is pretty tapped right now. a lot of movie releases are getting postponed indefinately, sold off, or direct to video.

i loved the first one and imported the DVD as soon as it came out. also saw it in theaters early with the ā€œfangoria specialā€ before the movie which ruined the entire plot and gave away the ending. everyone in the theater was like what the hell and my girlfriend at the time wanted to leave. the thing basically summed up the whole plot and did random interviews with people from the movie asking them, so what did yout hink about the ending

so stupid

lol i just saw timecop for the first time ever and it was in HD

0 special features and the PQ was pretty good surpringly, but man this movie is awesome

i also love how in all these 90s action karate mix movies they do a fast cut in the middle of the action, but its always to a guy who is just standing completely still getting ready to be kicked in the face

regardless of what he was doing before the cut

also the ending, classic

are all van damme movies like this? i’ve never seen any except for street fighter

and their vision for 2004 was classic, 8 inch tube TV’s, but cars that drive themselves

Lol yeah Timecop was classic.

I watched Goal: The Dream Begins on Blu-ray last night. It was actually really good. It was just what I thought it was gonna be, but still really good. Gonna watch Cowboy Bebop the Movie on DVD tonight.

time cop is actually based on a dark horse comic property that was pretty cool. Another overlooked good van damme was Sudden Death

Last night movie…

Redline - I cant believe someone actually allowed to get this movie made…Not to mention actually wrecked those beautiful cars…Such a waste! Movie is bad in all parts from the bad acting to the butterface kelly kapowski looking chick…The only good about it is the cars & just laugh on how bad this movie is…2 out 10

Next up Feel the Noise…

yea i noticed that during the 3 minute opening credits where they just scrolled names by

i hate movies that do that

plus sam raimi produced and he seems to love those comic book adaptations

i’ll have to check out sudden death

was there ever a Tremors comic book? In the third movie the chinese woman referred to one multiple times I thought they were trying to promote it, but when I google for Tremors comic all that comes up is Spawn

i thought Universal Solider with van damme was a pretty tight movie…one of his betters imo…

im outi

Roberth

Watched Blue Chips the other night. I’ve seen it before as a kid, but that was when I specifically wanted to see Shaq dunk on people. But the recruiting tactics such as collegiate athletes accepting gifts and point shaving were aspects that this movie did an excellent job of covering. Lots of very cool cameos. I also liked how the games used a mix of NBA and college players so the basketball action looked pretty authentic.

I also checked out Fast Food Nation. It was okay. Nothing special. I could’ve done without the tree huggers and PETA wannabes. But some parts were nice, particularly the illegals working at the meat packing plant as well as the corporate angle.

Die Hard 1 was pretty entertaining. Onto Die Hard 2!

Sukiyaki Western Django is fucken gold. So random and so good.

My top 5 Van Dam flicks

  1. Bloodsport
  2. Lionheart
  3. Kickboxer
  4. Sudden Death
  5. Maximum Risk/Hard Target

Love Jean Claude

I got a screener of this and watched it tonight. It’s pretty good. I always like seeing Rufus Sewell in roles. It wasn’t as hardcore as I was lead to believe. Maybe I’m just desensitized but I found it pretty tame for the most part, although jason patric shoving the broken glass up her vag was cool.

Just grabbed it. gonna watch it in a bit. Hope it’s as good as I’ve been hearing.

Watched Fighting Spirit the movie last night. Pretty good animation and fight scenes.

Watched Feel the Noise (2 out 10)& The Prodigy (4 out 10) last night…Tonight Becoming Jane…

Ok i think i’m done torturing myself this week…Gots some good movies for this weekend…

Gone Baby Gone, We Own The Night, Assassination of Jesse James, & Brave One…

Saw Jumper last night. I thought it was highly entertaining. Brisk paced, nice ā€œjumpā€ special effects, interesting premise. The character development was lacking, and I found Griffin to be more interesting than David, but that’s what you get for casting Hayden Christiansen as a lead role; lots of wounded looks and scowls.

damn, i love maria bello tho

she’s not bad looking for an older chick and she’s always naked and getting fucked in every movie it seems

anyone pick up that blade runner collectors edition? I never seen the movie before, but its pretty good so far. Just watched the ā€œFinal Cutā€, it looks really impressive in HD.

There’s like 9 hours of special features including a 3.5 hour documentary, a little overkill I think. Dunno if I liked it that much, but going to see what the documentary is about.

I also watched In the Valley of Elah, typical Haggis shove an idea down your throat and ruin what might of been a good movie crap. It looked good in HD, lot of bright shots and good lighting. Tommy Lee Jones was pretty good in this, which was surprising to me cause I usually hate him in everything.

and Michael Clayton on blu. I still don’t understand all the praise for this movie, but whatever. Can’t wait until March when this wins 0 oscars and disappears off the face of the earth.
