Shrek 3, Spidey 3, Pirates 3
Which one will rule the summer?
My pick is on Pirates 3. Most people are going to want to see how it ends.
hard one to say, donāt dismiss potter 5, the potter army is ever growing. even a cynic like me actually took the time to read the books and discovered that they are actually really good. every potter fan i know is more excited about potter 5 than any other film, and considering how large of a group that is, you have to include it into the equationā¦
yeah, but the only potter movie that came out in the summer did the worst
i think itās a very tough year for films, whoever comes out on top, is not going to come out on top by a large margin. while it is a year filled with sequels, i think they will rate higher than 2006ās dismal movies. pirates 2 was just a transition piece for 3, so 3 should be a better film. i know shrek 3 will do well, though after 2, i donāt have high hopes of it coming near the quality of 1. spidey three is going to be the shit, as long as they donāt over-do the special efx, which iām sure they will. potter 5 will be good for the average viewing audience, but the book is 870 pages long, there is no way the potter fans will be that happy with the cuts they will have to makeā¦my vote goes for spidey or piratesā¦
and this is saying what exactly? 
Iām with you on that one 100% but Iām worried that it will be in the shadow of all the Spiderman 3 Hype. Iām excited for both movies so I guess weāll see in due time.
I picked up the Scorsese box set (mean streets, departed, goodfellas, the aviator)
Why have the Aviator in there instead of Casino???

I saw the preview for it when I saw Fido on Tues. Itās probably coming in a month - it looks good.
I have to recommend Fido to any movie fanatic. Simple and very refreshing filmaking. Pretty funny too (more giggles than laughing out loud).

Saw the Pirates 3 trailer the other day- movie is gonna be badass.

iāve never been a micheal mann fan, heat just didnāt do it for me.
i agree with the casino sentiment. i donāt understand some of the movies they put into box sets sometimes, and the movies they leave out. if i were to put together a scorsese box set, i would say 5 movies - mean streets, taxi driver, raging bull, casino and goodfellasā¦but all those pretty much fall into the same āguy flicksā catagory. anyone see last temptation of christ recently? iāve been wanting to go back and explore that movie more, since i have scorsese fresh on my mindā¦
goodfellas and the other movies are Warner Bros, Casino is Universal
I also like to point out that Spidey 3 comes out two weeks before Shrek 3 and Pirates 3, so its got NO competion for a couple of weekends.
yeah, potter 3 doesnāt hit till july 13, so it gets a pretty clear runā¦plus potter 7 book comes out the next week, so potter mania will be highā¦expect me to disapeer a few weeks before hand, i expect more than one person on this board to try and ruin the end of the book for peopleā¦

Iād agree with you BUT, i can understand why you disliked as so by many others Iāve heard in the past. However, If youāre able to find a fan made re-cut of the film much like the matrix de-zionized than i 'd think you prob. enjoy a bit more without the nonsense intact as many disliked that about the film. To me, it will remain classic but Nothing tops LEON <<ā my best film
weekend viewing:
The Howling II: Stirba - saw this a long time ago but wanted to watch it again before i move on to the rest of the series (I will NOT be watching new moon fever or whatever the fkc itās called)
Cobra - never saw it, go figure
Death Wish 3 - part 2 was good so looking forward to this one
Dirty Harry 4 - I thought part 3 was pretty crappy so hopefully this one was better
I went to the grindhouse last night and saw Autopsy and Eyeball, both were pretty bad. Nice trailer for Deep Red though.
is this a quality scale or box office? i agree on grindhouse being number one in quality, but spidey and potter rate higher than pirates for me in sheer desire to watchā¦never been a huge fan of pirates, i thought the first was fun but number 2 sucked ass, imoā¦
