who?
Just saw âChildren of Menâ⌠Twice.
This movie was incredible.
Iâm so glad itâs still in theatres. If I had missed out on this film Iâd of been pissed. I had no idea what this movie was, Iâve never seen a preview of it or even heard of it from any of my friends.
This film better win some kind of award.
movies watched this weekend -
finished Shocker - directed with energy but incredibly cheesy. fun movie though
Scoop - not bad, not good.
hills have eyes 2 - they padded the hell out of this with clips from the first one
was it a screening of hhe2 or something? i just found out they were making a sequelâŚpersonally, itâs not my thing, i was just wonderingâŚ
Mindhunters is a good movie.
nope, the oldschool sequel to the original. craven actually directed it, god knows why
lol - i didnât even know thatâŚyou know too much about horror cinema there pgâŚyou looking forward to grindhouse at all?
Whatâs funny about Hills 2is that even the dog has a flashback in the movie.
omg, thats enough for me to see it right thereâŚ
I saw Rocky Balboa last weekâŚyeah, what to say about itâŚ
It was alright I guess but it seemed like they tried too hard to go back to the movieâs roots and it just wasnât the same IMO.
well, oscar noms came out. little miss sunshine rocked with way more noms than i thought it would. i havenât seen enough of these films to make an accurate judgement, but the osacrs are so political itâs almost offensive.
also, saw âthis film is not yet ratedâ last night. all i can say is holy fucking shit. fuck the mpaa. i mean, i hated them already, but jesus fucking a goat, itâs so much worse than i imagined.
I just watched Saw 3âŚquick question.
About the Ending
Spoiler
So does that ending mean we are gonna get a Saw 4 somehow? Or was he just fucked and they wanted you to think heâll never get his daughter back since Jigsaw is dead? He did say âIFâ you want her back you have to play a game though right?
My only problem with Rocky 6 was how they threw Tony Duke (Apolloâs trainer) into the final 20 minutes of the film. Although his âHurtinâ Bombsâ speech more than makes up for it.
Oh⌠and Antonio Tarver playing a heavyweight when even a 60-year-old Sly was more cut than him.
as much as i love the film, i donât think itâs going to walk away with many statuesâŚi think bnoth supporting catagories will go to dreamgirlsâŚ
im glad paul greengrass got nominated, and Marky Mark getting a nom is cool. Interesting that Leo got one for Blood Diamond and not departed. Im not a big fan of the whole nominating kids thing but if the whale rider girl got one then why not Amber breslin.
itâs funny, i called the forest whitaker nom from the first preview i saw of last king. kate winslet can do no wrong, she gets nommed every yearâŚnot saying iâm not happy, i LOVE kate. i am in love with kate. sheâs like the oscar sweetheart, she does a movie, they nom itâŚ
My Oscar nom predictions turned out pretty good⌠I called Best Supporting for Wahlberg and Best Adapted Screenplay for The Departed⌠and Best Editing/Cinematography for Children of Men (I think I mentioned my predictions in this thread or some other one, I canât bother to look)⌠although theyâre pretty obvious nominations if youâve seen those films. The Academy is a little more unpredictable when it comes to actually dishing out awards, so I wonât say anything.
âŚIâm still counting on a total snub for Departed/Scorcese.
Iâm glad Greengrass got a nom as well. I thought United 93 was a more appropriate depiction of 9/11 than Oliver Stoneâs World Trade Center, although the focus of 93 was more centralized.
I still havenât been able to catch The Departed. Question to anyone who has seen both The Departed and the original âInfernal Affairsâ: Does seeing IA first take away from The Departed since you know more or less whatâs going to happen? Has anyone seen The Departed first then IA?
