i have lms on my xmas dvd list, so iām pretty sure my mom is getting it for meā¦if not, itāll be a trip to best buy right after xmasā¦
oh yeah, I also watched the uncut Miami Vice dvd. I enjoyed the movie a lot. It was no Collateral, but still did its thing. I think calling it āMiami Viceā wasnāt really the best decision, and the script had some problems, but the direction, score, and overall style made up for it. The big shoot-out at the end was great and it was nice seeing Herc in a movie. Not enough nudity though.

so I was going to pm this but then I thought it might seem a little cowardly so then I was going to start a new thread but then I thought that would just be attention whoring so Iām just going to slip this in here: I should have done this a while a go but I apologize to angryliberal for comments I made about his significant other. I knew it was the wrong thing to do at the time but I felt like sensitive aspects my personal life were being intruded upon in a manner not straight with the truth. Regardless, my words were not warranted and I am doubly sorry because in actuality I do not feel that way or hold that opinion about that person but rather latched onto it due to laziness/lack of wit/whatever

Been listening to marvelous tunes by Ennio Morricone for the past month. Iām really liking the sound of his western themes. Makes me want to check out the movies. The spaghetti-western genre. Anyone seen films like Death Rides A Horse and For A Few Dollars More/ Fistful Of Dollars?

i will try to explain, this is going to be a HUGE SPOILER!!! HUGE SPOILER!!! SPOILER!!! if you havent seen the movieā¦
basically keanue was being set up from the get go by whinona riderās (sp) character. he was sent in undercover to bust some people doing substance D ( i think this is what they called it i dont remember exactly) and who was distributing it. this is what he was led to believe.
but since he was being set up the real reason he was assigned to that undercover joint was so he would actually get addicted to the drug. the reason they wanted him addicted to the drug was because the people behind the whole operation knew that the company manufacturing the drug had a ārehabilitating facilityā for people hardcore addicted to it. this rehabiliting center was actually where they took the brain dead (which Keanue became at the end) people from overuse of the drug to farm fields of that flower that was used to make the drug.
they wanted a man on the inside so he can give them the location of the drug companys production center, which is where keanue ended up at the end.
the thing is there was no real guarantee that keanue would actually be able to tell them where this plantation was, and they knew this, because of how damaging the drug is to your brain. they were just hoping that he would remember something after he was assigned to that plantation placeā¦so basically they sacraficed his assā¦pretty messed upā¦

LMAO I felt the exact same way after watching Akria. That movie was suppose to be SO good, but I didnāt know WTF was going on half the time.
yeah thatās what happens when you have to make a movie out of a story that spans six huge graphic novels. And Akira was the only anime we had back in the day, not like you spoiled kids nowadays
