Saw The Wrestler and Pride & Glory last night. P&G was the same old cop drama bullshit but The Wrestler was an EXCELLENT movie and very true to the life of indy wrestlers on the road. However, the movie was depressing as hell so I wouldn’t recommend watching with the lady friend (when I watch a sad movie with my girl she gets in a bad mood :wasted:)
Just finished watching Descent with Rosario Dawson. Good movie but man that ending was just so fucked up.
how does that make it a bad movie??? like to me you cant sit there be like this movie sucked cause its like american beauty like what??? american beauty was good so if its like american beauty why does it suck…there are similiarities between the two, like every movie from the same director…although the topic and theme of the movie i felt was different…
im outi
Roberth
American Beauty minus humor and entertainment. Of the 4 movies directed by Mendes, I rank Rev Road 4th. And seeing the yummy Kate Winslet from Titanic reduced to a Botox’d mummy that can barely smile was depressing. Michael Shannon’s performance was good, but his role (‘I’m the retard who spells out the movie in plain English’) was insulting.
I got Bangkok Dangerous today and have high hopes for it.
Marley & Me’s ending was expected, but damn, really?
Finally saw Taken last night. Liam Neeson = destroyer of worlds.
Joke post?
The Wrestler was very good. Somebody buy Mickey Rourke a soda.

I’ve probably asked this before but does anyone know of any good movie review/discussion podcasts? Would help the work day along.
i watched it too a couple of days ago…
great movie
best movies from Sundance:
Push
Big Fan
World’s Greatest Dad
Grace
biggest wtf movie: The Carter
worst:
Shrink
Manure
Wow, a movie titled Manure sounds like something you would be into. I’m guessing that’s not the recently released Push…
When you spend that amount of time taking in movie after movie, how do you seperate the crap from the good? What I mean is, taking all that in at once, it seems like it would be harder to not get several films muddled together…
Also, have you ever seen a film at film festival like that and enjoy it, but then when it’s released and you get to watch it again, you are no longer as impressed with it?
Push…that psychic movie with Djimon?
It’s pretty good?
of course …I think
saw body of lies last night. I cant believe this is a ridley scott movie. old man just can do this anymore. not necessarily a bad movie but this whole “terrorism” thing is mad played out.
quarantine sucked ass. I am glad I didnt pay for stupid shaky cam gimmick.
gran torino was badass though.
the films are pretty diverse so it usually isn’t hard not getting them muddled…but your brain is definitely mush at the end of each night.
Yeah, I can imagine.
Push looks good, but hard to watch. Sounds like a movie that you would want to watch because of how good it is, but not watch because of how hard it is. Am I wrong?
