well we have different taste in movies I guess. dont think anyone would agree with you on the top5 thing. even top 10 of 2k8 is questionable. personally I can think of at least 10 movies I liked better than BOL.
IMO.
Haven’t seen it:sad:
I did, and I enjoyed it. But I also understood why a lot of people didn’t. It’s not a movie for everyone, and it’s exhausting. But I was into it.
Definitely a movie that’s for a particular group of people. I still don’t know if I liked it, but I know I want to watch it again. Hard to say if it’s worth the watch unless you’re a big charlie kaufman fan.
Damn. There are always movie titles that make it way too easy for critics, but this is ridiculous.
google search “srpski film trailer.” click on first link. the movie could be interesting, but i’m not gonna lie. i just like the song.
That movie looks interesting.
^ yeah. blood and blowjobs
are you ready for the remakes?
Some of those are truly offensive…
Brett Ratner will be helming a film adaptation of Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood.
And the world wept.
so i saw midnight meat train last night…i actually really enjoyed it…there was some dope shit in that movie…im not sure why it didnt do that well. it was probably one of the better “horror” movies i enjoyed since the descent…

it only got released to dollar theaters and no one knew which ones until only a couple of days before.
everyone thinks there’s a huge conspiracy surrounding the film. here’s some of them
the new guy at lionsgate was involved with the strangers and didn’t want to compete with it
lionsgate is under new ownership and they want to get away from horror
i think 2) is more believable. new people came in to take over lionsgate, delayed a bunch of movies (repo, mmt), thought they wouldn’t do well so they just dumped them in cheap theaters to fulfill contracts, and then send them to dvd.
i think there will be a lot less horror films in general. the straight to dvd market is drying up (i blame netflix/bb online bc you can’t pull people into a movie they never heard of if they can’t look at the box). horror is very cyclical. in the early 90s/late 80s the slasher film was basically dead until scream came around.
my bloody valentine doing decent is good because now we’ll see a flood of crappy 3-d horror movies as a result.
How was my bloody valentine? I really wanted to see that even though i figured it would be really shitty.
i thought it was pretty good. it didn’t take itself seriously, there was killing right from the start, nudity (lots of it in one scene), decent acting, comedy
3d effects were pretty cool.
it doesn’t follow the plot of the 1st one too much but that doesn’t matter IMO. i saw it twice in theater and felt i got my moneys worth both times.
last two movies I watched (besides F13) were Skinwalkers and Death Race (2009)
I give both an F-
well damn is it really that hard to come up with a movie concept nowadays?
i mean really why so many remakes?
a lot of these old movies that are being remade aren’t that good. good ideas but are lacking due to no budget or bad directing.
i think movies like halloween, the hitcher (they turned it from a philosophical movie to random slasher), prom night, etc shouldn’t be remade
but the rest of them like hills have eyes, amityville, etc. why not. it also helps the old directors get money most of the time since people go back and rent or buy the original. or whoever owns it gets the guy in for dvd commentary and pays him.
my one problem is when they take foreign movies and butcher them because they don’t think american audiences will understand. you see this a lot when the remake asian horror. shit just happens in them and there’s no explanation, the american version tries to explain everything.
if you look at rec/quarantine the movies are exactly the same, except the US version has a biologist in it who manages to figure out what is causing it all whereas in the spanish version its just like shits happening who knows why. i prefer movies like that
