That burns me up when ppl speak about how Covid-19 mostly affects older ppl. So like, fuck grandpa and grandma, huh? Thoughts of punching mfers cross my mind when they say ignorant things like that
Older ppl and anybody with underlying health issues deserve to live as much as the young and healthy
What gets me is that we’re 9 months into this pandemic and people are still spitting this “it’s not that bad”, “it’s just the flu”, “people die more every year from X and Y cause” BS. Missed me with that noise.

I’m in the aged parents demographic, being an old ass myself. So I don’t want to be culpable for spreading plague to elderly living relatives. Not to mention, it doesn’t sound like a pleasant ride (sorry, I enjoy my senses of smell and taste) so I don’t want it either; or run the risk of being one of the 5% who may be permanently disabled (I believe this is the correct citation, may have been his interview with Peter Attia, or possibly Rogan) by the illness.

Having a talk would be great. I had a family member that served in the Army that told me, the only reason he joined because he was in a desperate situation. There are positives as far as job prospects go, and possibly seeing more of the world than a current situation, but you can get that in the ‘civilian sector’ too.
Not everyone’s situation is going to be the same though, as we see with Fort Hood, and no doubt there’s other places like this as well.

A friend joined the Marines years ago, before America became embroiled in our current endless occupation/wars, to be able to afford college.
He was not a good fit for the Marines. Didn’t take much away from the experience, and through sustained bad decision making, still ended up in student debt that he’s paying off 20 years later.
A prime bad example there, but it’s not always the meal ticket one may hope for when combined with bad decision making.

Some of their requirements made no sense. Thr govt saying yiu have to get approval to get other companies… Didn’t they already have to get approval to get ig and what’s app?
Also how did they kill competition by buying those companies? They were Def not the only version of those industries.
