As I said earlier, it was legal for me for a LONG time to fuck 14 year olds. That was the legal limit. When they go and change that, was I supposed to just stop looking at girls that turned me on the day before, and be like ‘naaa’. If they upped the legal drinking age to 50, how many of you would just stop drinking until you’re 50?
I’ve always looked at pedo’s the same way I look at a lot of other people’s sexual preferences. Some people love red heads. Some people love no tits. Some people love huge tits. Some people love asians. Some people love fat chicks. Not everybody is going to like the same thing, and I truly feel it’s something that you’re just born with.

Legal drinking age is 19 here in my province, but in Quebec it’s 18. So why can I go to the capital of Canada (Ottawa), which is in my province, and I can’t buy alcohol when I am 18, but I can literally walk to Quebec and go to a bar?
Most people seem to regard pedophiles as the source of all child sexual abuse. That’s hardly true, as the majority of offenders is someone’s neighbor, friend, or family member.
I wasnt gettting int to the free will thing. My point was that people trying to boil down predispositions to genetic causes (etc) and ignore how environmental factors lkely play such a huge role.
I can’t imagine the idea of attraction from a pedophile. What could be sexually appealing about an underage individual when you’re a full-grown adult? Also, I was watching Kill Bill earlier and when the scene about Matsumoto being a pedophile came up, I thought about this thread.
Since I’m in Psychology right now, I learned that we have 3 lvls of consciousness. Unconscious, I think, is what’s causing this issue.
In my book, a figure shows that irrational wishes, immoral urges, and unacceptable desires fall under the lvl of unconscious. Sigmund Freud (the man who theorized
this) said we should let people talk about what comes to their mind. So far, that what most of you have suggested.
There is a class of pedophiles that are not born that way, but through some messed up and unintentional conditioning can find themselves attracted to kids. The bridge is through non physical sexual fetishes. For example, lets say someone has an extreme nylon/pantyhose fetish. If the fetish become so dominate that seeing an underage girl in a skirt, heels, and pantyhose and is sexually attracted to the outfit; a neural connection may be established that the underage girl become attractive. Whether they act upon it often depends on how much guilt they feel for having that attraction. If the person has a normal sense of self worth, they will notice that their attraction makes no sense, maybe crack a joke to themselves and move on with their day. But if the person feels guilt and is hard on themselves, that sets up a nasty feedback loop in the brain. Every time someone has the misfortune to have an unhealthy/illegal/immoral urge and beats themselves up over it they will fixate on it until the thought of the action consumes them. The only relief is to give in to the act (we see this all the time when you go to the buffet and see the 5"7" 400 lb person who clearly should not be there and most likely truly does not want to be there) There is a moment of bliss when they give in to the urge, then the guilt and self hate is even worse because not only do they have the urge, but they gave in and hate themselves.
Now there is only one way to be able to help these folks, and that is if there is a way for them to get help without having to reveal their identity. Not many are going to go up to anyone and say “hey I may need help, I wanted to have sex with this cute little 9 year old girl I saw trick or treating last month”. Society is not kind or trusting of anyone convicted of sex crimes let alone someone who admits to having the urge. All it takes in this world is to get caught taking a drunk piss in public, end up on your states sex offenders registry, and then every overly paranoid Mom with internet access who assumes anyone on that list is an out of control baby fucker.
