And that’s probably the main thing to consider…
But still, I would think that, in light of some of the more recent things that ASW has done that have both cost them money and didn’t turn much in profit (BF and GG2), they would be a bit more frugal with their spending, and where they decide to put their games.
So, again…I can’t bring myself to imagine that this game would be exclusive to the PS3/360. People love ASW and their goods, but I couldn’t imagine people specifically dishing out 300+ dollars (and the equivalent in Yen) just for one game.
A much wiser choice would be to just release this for as many consoles as possible, so that a new game like this can get as much cover as it can. I mean, shoot, Guilty Gear X really got play after having a stint on both the DC, and then transferring over to the PS2 some time later…

Shit looks hot, I’m liking the Jin. Femboy + Katana = Fucking win.
do i smell the beginnings of a possible Guilty Gear / BlazBlue crossover?
hmmm…maybe i should worry about this game being good before wanting to throw the franchise into a crossover, but since Sammy vs. Capcom never took off, why couldn’t ARC go fight itself?
but just imagine the possibilities…
The Ultimate Bounty Hunter vs. the Ultimate Bounty
Yoyos and razor teddy bears vs. Over sized Gunkata
gay blondy in blue and white vs. gay blondy in blue, white, and RED
place your bets folks!

Not feeling the name, but if it looks as good in motion as the screens and plays like GG, then I’ll learn to tolerate it.
Although it is strange they are just dropping the Guilty Gear name, although the whole ten year time jump immediately brought ‘Garou: Mark of the Wolves’ to my mind, so it is probably a similar situation. Well, I will look forward to what they do with this.

The God of Death Bearing his Fangs at the Control System
Ragna the Bloodedge (CV: Tomokazu Sugita)
The almighty force managing the “Operation”, in order to obtain absolute power over the world, is this man who has rebelled against the “Earth and Space Information Control System” (hereafter referred to as the “Control System”). Known as the “God of Death”, a bounty for his elimination has been placed in all the regions populated with branches of the Control System. In game, his tactics revolve around using his power and large sword to keep pressure on his opponents. As for his special abilities, he is able to absorb his opponent’s physical strength by using “Soul Eater”.
The Champion Overflowing with Talent
**Jin Kisaragi **(CV: Kakihara Tetsuya)
From a prestigous family, this man is a retainer of the Control System’s Kisaragi house. His class is Major. In the past, he had a distinguished military record during the “Ikaruga Civil War” that broke out, and was promoted to the position of Division Commander at an exceptionally young age. He is always cool and calm, though he is a deeply jealous, ambitious, and possessive person, with little care for others. In game, he uses various swordplay techniques in addition to his unique ability, “Reikou (Zero Sword)” which can be used to freeze his opponents (Frostbite).
Trickster
**Noel Vermillion **(CV: Kondou Kanako)
Because of her outstanding combat ability and suitable operation evaluations, she was selected to be Jin Kisaragi’s direct subordinate in her youth. The two were acquaintances in officer’s academy, though Noel thought Jin was extremely weak. However, on a certain mission handed down from the Control System, her preconceptions were changed. In game, she is able to quickly unleash tricky attacks with her two guns, which can be continually added to.

Okay, look people, unless I’m missing something very big from that article it’s NOT in the Guilty Gear world!
The article does say it’s from the same developer who brought us Guilty Gear. It says it’s set in the future, 2199. And as far as I can see, someone with limited Japanese skills has just spotted the word “Guilty Gear” in the article and made up the rest for themselves. Posters at this thread at NeoGaf have come to the same conclusion - it’s just made by the same people, that’s the only connection.
If there’s anyone with better Japanese than mine around, by all means, check this for me, but otherwise, this is all looking like one big mistranslation.

It’s actually similar to GG.
B C E
A
It’s basically GG without an attack button, and E is new the Dust. Since BB is the sequel of GG, I doubt AC will be in SBO for long, if BB is good and GG players all shift to BB.
Im just worried everyoine will stop playing GGAC. As much time as I put into this I would hate to loose another game that I spent days on again.
I don’t think people will drop GGAC. It will be like ST.

What? Isn’t that like, one of the greatest things about GG? SRK has had me baffled, thus far in '08. I blame all the new people.

A little sad that it’s only 4 buttons, but I’m intrigued and would like to know more.
Visually it looks gorgeous (as expected).

This looks like a good game…so far. Hope they make this work.
orka:
i’m not gonna be able to write anything detailed until i get home, like i said… but apparently one huge system change that makes this game standout is the knockdown/wakeup element.
unlike most traditional 2d fighters where characters are in a “downed state” after getting knocked down, this game apparently allows you to continue combo after downing a opponent every time unless the opponent chooses to take a action. there are said to be multiple ways to roll, tech, and rise after getting downed, and they will each have their own benefits and risks.
so it’s basically a 2d fighter with wake-up system similar to tekken (which i always believed to have the most complicated wake-up system in any fighting game), which adds to whole another dimension of mind games previously not seen in 2d fighters.
and according to play testers, it so far feels “like guilty gear, but even more fluid.”
Almost had me until the “so far it feels like guilty gear”. The whole tech game sounds dope, i’m just hoping it doesn’t actually play like GG.
