Name the last female character outside of Petra or Anonym that uses guns as part of her gameplay anyway? None in GG, none in 3S, none in Marvel (Cable is male), kind of one in MB, none in CvS2, Andrew in SST, none in Battle Fantasia.

And doji games don’t count ;p~

Bloodedge’s design is simple of course. No one shown thus far has a great design. Anyone else feels a cross between AH and Sengoku?

design aside, I still like Bloodedge. Mainly for his sword. I just like beating the shit out of other people with a large sword. If he didn’t have that sword(and read and black colors), I wouldn’t be interested. And chicks with guns are hot. She coulda been hotter though like I-no.:lovin:

i’m not gonna be able to write anything detailed until i get home, like i said… but apparently one huge system change that makes this game standout is the knockdown/wakeup element.

unlike most traditional 2d fighters where characters are in a “downed state” after getting knocked down, this game apparently allows you to continue combo after downing a opponent every time unless the opponent chooses to take a action. there are said to be multiple ways to roll, tech, and rise after getting downed, and they will each have their own benefits and risks.

so it’s basically a 2d fighter with wake-up system similar to tekken (which i always believed to have the most complicated wake-up system in any fighting game), which adds to whole another dimension of mind games previously not seen in 2d fighters.

and according to play testers, it so far feels “like guilty gear, but even more fluid.”

Well, MB sorta has that. This sounds pretty interesting though. I await the rest of what you find out about this game.

To answer a few posters in the first 3 pages, I think the choice of the hardware is rather wise.

Ok, Battle Fantasia sucked ass, but it was a “Woman” in charge of the project… and we all know what happens when women are in charge of anything else than bringing beer when you’re waching sport on TV!

well, mb did always have otg relaunches… but even that had frame limits. in this game, the player will stay on the ground as long as he will choose to take another action.
