I agree with everything you said especially the imitating characters. My brother was having a blast with Guilty Gear but he hates anime with a passion. Once he played as A.B.A. and saw the living key he was like “Fuck it” and turned it off.
I actually lied about agreeing with EVERYTHING. I don’t think the PS2 would be viable since by the time this game would be released most PS2 owners would have abandoned it.
If the Wii can run it it’s a necessity to put the game on the console since it’s the only console that is viable to 2D sprite based games (as shown by Super Paper Mario, Trauma Center, Geometry Wars) as well as getting a lot of 2D fighters on it (King of Fighters Orochi Collection, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, SNK on Virtual Console). PC could be something to play around with though. However I think the game should appear on the PS3 in some form since most core players will own that system. I guess HDRemix will tell if people are at least willing to take sprites seriously in some form with those systems.
I think i the direction they’re going, a PS2 port would suck.
Nobody wants a toned down port, and I’m all for 2D evolving.
Yes, he teaches GG104, Problem Solving and Backdashing, and GG304, Social and Ethical Issues in Potemkin Buster, at SMRT University.
Is it even possible to put this on the Wii with the same graphics if you lower the resolution to SD?
I know I have doubts but then I remembered this game, would it be possible?
Well I guess we have to see how well animated this game is.
I agree totally.
I think Arc System is going to be 2d’s savior.
It really depends on how much they stand to use the TX2 to its limits.
Over the last few pages, there was another dialogue between another and myself, and the basic thing is that “HD signal output != HD game”. KOF Maximum Impact Reg A and Samurai Spirits both prove that much; they’re both Taito X2 games, and thus by default, they’re HD games. However, in the end, they’re basically games that are still PS2 level of quality.
This game, for this outset, seems to have it so that the BGs are the ones that are probably more of a usage of the TX2 than the character sprites themselves, which look to be “standard ASW fare”. If that be the case, then I’d imagine that the story for the two above games would probably be repeated for BlazBlue; it’s “faux HD-ness” doesn’t immediately put it out of the running for the PS2 and/or Wii.
^^^I see. But would how well the characters animate set a factor?
You forgot Vanillaware and Bit-Blot.
He just went back to school last week in teaching 2 new studies:
GG401 - Efficient Burst Throwing
GG690 - Historic Universal Mixups in the X2 and #R Era and Beyond
WTF!? It’s not even out in the arcade yet. If you regard, development time, location tests, a definitive arcade release, patching/rebalancing, course of time in the arcade .
You’re going to be waiting a long time. I personally don’t want a bullshit rushed port.
Seriously, I can’t believe posters are discussing console releases.
Choosing mains?
Who said that shit.
That bitch has guns, and I want to shoot people in the damn face, simple as that.
No, actually you’re excluded. You never shut up about gun-bitches and chicks with huge bubz. :lovin:

Forgive me if everyone has already seen this.
Sprite res comparison from Akihabara Ch
Shit, you should’ve linked the article, this is gold

So, from the looks of it, 10 selectable characters. None of them called Laguna the Broadedge
Yeah I should’ve my bad
There is some great stuff in the article. I <3 Akatsuki.
Pretty big, not the size of http://www.lion-gv.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/sfspritecomparison.jpg["]HD Remix’s but it’s still pretty big (higher resolution’s obviously).
Still very impressive.
Again I just hope they work a little more on the animation then they did on Guilty Gear.
It’s Ragna the Bloodedge…
Yes it is isn’t it.
looking at the res compare, i can’t help but think Arc Sys is using this as a test bed for the start of new set of GG games (especially with it appearing that AC+ will be ending the X/XX series and its storyline)
I dunno…I think they pretty much made it a point in the Famitsu article last week that this was supposed to be the new “flagship 2D fighter” from ASW.
Daisuke can do whatever the hell he wants in the GG2 game series he wants to start, while BlazBlue can be basically the new series that takes over where they left off.
But any way…it definitely looks damn good. We can only wait and see what’s gonna happen next…
