All I’m saying is that it’s understandable why they haven’t been receptive to anyone’s balance suggestions right now. Like you said, the S2.5 changes were very minimal and mostly nerfs, and the DP changes were a compromise between S1 and S2 DPs. Even the S2.5 changes and Ed were delayed to meet the release of the CFN update.
I’m aware. I had her all the way up to B rank back in Ultra. Juri is the only reason I bought SF5, and the main reason why I sold it. Just seeing if I should give it another shot yet
Why is there such a debate about juri. literally all pros says she trash including the ones that main her. hsien Chang has said it infiltration said it.
What I don’t get is as an example everybody knew fang was bad hardly did you hear people defending that character but for some reason everybody has a reason that juri is good just no one knows how to play her
Juri is hell to play online, and rough trying to play her in tournaments. But she’s really fun in casual sets, particularly offline. Playing at WSO and wowing people with my Juri tech was fulfilling, haha.
I think she’s bad but at the same time I would rather that the basis on which she’s bad are things she actually struggles with rather than nonissues. Pro players have voices, and can act as pillars of certain communities. What I’ve heard being said about Juri so far via these players is going to make the probably-upcoming buffs target areas that aren’t necessary.
Infil complained about her AAs, which is one of her best aspects with a fully invincible DP, and st.hp xx store allowing a safe store in neutral. Players that I feel are very good with Juri are Hsien Chang and Gentleman Thief. Hsien Chang has some of the best store management and pressure of any Juri I’ve watched. If these players can speak out about the issues she has, maybe somehow a community rep for Capcom will hear this and send it to the dev team. Infil IMO isn’t someone who should be talking about Juri though, his Juri is sub-optimal and he’s trying to enforce the runaway style he had with Nash on her.
I agree. Not to mention I can’t wait a whole fucking year of my life to see if capcom will finally understand what they need to do for a character for which I payed real money. :annoyed: And costume as well.
Capcom purposely made tc whiff on crouchers so you have to manage stmp>stmk combos and tc combos. The issue is the pushback on CH on stMP where its safer to combo CH stMP into crMPxx MK ryo/HK release because the first hit of stMK would whiff. Buffing her already existing overhead makes more sense. Like making it chain in v trigger or something like that.
TC overhead launcher would be OP as shit because it would make a 4 frame 50/50 anywhere if they block an MP (3 frame on meaty). Doubt that’s what capcom wants.
Someone suggested that target combo should work on crouchers, BUT it should only combo on hit, and still be unsafe on block. That way, you can’t just fish for it randomly, but it’ll work on crouchers. I can get behind that.
That makes more sense, I thought it was about the one that was suggested that the stHP from TC to hit overhead and launch like Angel from KOF, Even if it was negative on block we would have basically balrog’s kbb+k with kbb being + oB
It does feel overwhelming how many characters can link heavies from strong or CH stMP > stMP… ie mika and cammy, while Juri gets nothing.
