It depends on where you live and how much you buy. They ship from Gardenia California. I live in New York. It took 4 business days to arrive.
I only bought two buttons so for me, $4.90 was their cheapest shipping method.
I was originally going to buy a replacement JLF stick and face buttons, but that pushed the shipping up to $20. I didn’t really need the new parts though.
May I suggest we also tweet the buffs list to Infiltration since he’s so eager to talk Juri? I’ve done so, told him his suggestions are whack and to please check ours.
I’m not trying to creep into tin foil hat territory here, but we’ve tweeted out the vid to so many people, sent it to SRK and eHubs, and openly talked about it, yet there’s no response. Not even an acknowledgement from any of these people. I’ve learned to read situations like that, and it’s spelling out to me that no one cares, or worse, they are intentionally ignoring it. Trust me, I’ve seen what happens when you try to actually make a difference but people just act ignorant. But that could be me overreaching. Maybe people just aren’t aware, but we’ve clearly reached out, so if they keep ignoring it, then there’s not much we can do.
Ok new topic: if you switched waiting for s3 because you’ve broken too many items around you playing Juri, who did you go to?
I tried a lot, failed to find any fun then I gave up and went Ibuki. She ain’t no Juri, but she’s got fun stuff.
That is why I’ve moved on, I only play Karin in ranked and I barely play Juri at casuals she gets robbed way too easy. People dont care about other characters other than the ones they are playing me included I don’t care about Alex, Fang, Kolin etc… so If anyone is going to do anything for Juri it would be us.
Juri didn’t get everything she needed right away in SF4, and she was a lot worse off at the start than she is now. Remember how long it took for them to fix the hit boxes and frame data on her FSE normals? People made videos about that too. She didn’t get cancel-able far mp until Ultra. Remember Wake-up EX pinwheel not having enough invul frames to cover its start-up? Took them forever to fix that too. She’s going to get buffs in increments just like SF4. She’s a character that you have to be careful with when balancing, like Sim. She could go from low tier to brain dead in an instant. Remember all the buffs from the Japanese loc-test that never made it into Ultra? Yossan complained that she became too easy.
She is a lot easier to balance in this game because the skill cap influenced by her toolkit has taken a serious dive.
You can’t just have perfect use of her tools in V and make her top 5, because Juri’s tools were incredibly strong in IV at the cost of losing a button. That was plausible in IV, in V her tools have been simplified, she’s easier to balance.
I teach Kindergartner, I have a 1 year old son, I bottle up a lot of stress/rage on a daily basis, Playing Juri feels frustrating in many occasions, I smash stuff. Playing Ibuki I can see clearly my fuck ups, with Juri sometimes is like I didn’t play perfect against this super silver opponent and I got fucked. The amount of times I lose rounds with them having little to no health left is infuriating.
Yeah, this has nothing to do with Juri. If you have stress and anger problems, then fighting games are not for you. You could tier whore all day, and the game will find someway to make you salty. Fighting games are also funny in that they can make you mad, even when you win.
But at the same time, if her tools are simplified don’t you still have to be careful with what you give her? I think her(and SFV’s) simplification is why there are so many restrictions on her V-Trigger.
You’re right, and I see a lot of people saying this, but should this really be an excuse this time? That we should just sit on our hands and wait until Juri gets decent a year or two from now? SFV was supposed to be more community focused, with problems highlighted and fixed as soon as possible. And there’s an even bigger spotlight on competition now. Granted, things turned out the way they did, but I don’t think it’s right or fair that it’s just going to be like how it always is with Capcom, despite them promising otherwise. And also; there’s no guarantee that she will get progressively better, just cause it happened with USFIV. Because that assumes anyone at Capcom actually cares to do that, given the state of SFV and the characters who players actually care more about.
I’m not trying to beat a dead horse, and you’ll forgive me if I appear heated about this; trust me I’m not, haha. I’m just saying. As for ‘moving on’, I actually thought of maining Mika for most of my online play, and playing Juri only in fun exhibition sets. But honestly, I grew weary of the game anyway, so I only play it once in a while (such as when I made the new costume vid and got some matches a few days later). And to be fair, despite how organized we were with this buff suggestion list, it is just a wish list and there is no obligation on Capcom to heed it. That said, all I want is to play Juri and not feel like I’m getting the short end of the stick, even though we’ve all discovered all this tech and we fight so hard. I’m sure the online ranked brigade will come to tell me to git gud, but still.
Do we have to sit on our hands and wait? Yes. You might not like that, but it’s true. They are not going to fix things as soon as possible. They are not bringing up balance because it’s the middle of Season 2. They went with meta changes per season, and that’s what the community wanted, not the NRS style of balance updates. I don’t think they don’t care, it’s just that the timing is not right. Capcom’s probably not considering balance changes right now since they are struggling to get the Season 2 characters out. They are already behind from last year(Urien came out in Sept).
Maybe near the end of Season 2 you should present your suggestions again. I also think it’s a good idea for Capcom to have beta tests when there are new proposed changes on the way. Like they did with the S2.5 and new CFN updates.
I don’t understand the idea of not doing balance during the season. Adapting to change is a skill pro player should have, I come from a DotA background and changes happened all the time close to major tournaments and teams adapted.
I am not saying one is right and one is wrong, but I enjoy constant updates more
I agree with this, they’re still trying to catch up and release the remaining characters to have time and patch the game. As close as it is getting to the end of the season there is no point (TO THEM) to shake the meta now. This is what happens when you rush the release of a game, they’ve been trying to get caught up since day 1.
I was always aware of Capcom’s want to only balance each season, but didn’t they already break that by releasing the mid-season 2 patch? With the slight changes to several characters, and the changes to DPs? Granted, changing an entire character overall is more suited to a new season, and they did the mid-season patch because of the overwhelming negative feedback to season 2. And also, it’s not that I want them to buff Juri now or anything, my point was simply that the reception to the buff suggestions (outside the chosen few Juri players and interested persons) has been really empty and quiet. But as I mentioned in my earlier post, it wasn’t like anyone was obligated to respond to it anyway.
