This, this is why I think Juri is pretty Damn good, in a footsie heavy game, her whiff punishing game against lows are extremely good, matched with her forward walk speed is pretty Damn good pair, but anyone with good mids like Karin will give Juri trouble I feel. The annoying thing is that since her charged fuhajins are qcf, she seems to have the same issues ryu have with forward walk cr.mk fireball and a accidental uppercut will come out. She might have the best whiff punish tools without the use of ex meter, but the only thing is u have to use ex in order to whiff punish if u do not have hk fuhajin stored. But because of this, I hardly have full meter stocked unless I actually play keep away which is pretty hard when u know u have many opportunities to whiff punish or to look out for jump ins.

The only thing is, if your playing online and u feel noticeable lag, this becomes alot more harder as u have to look out for random jump ins as well under lag…and what I noticed when playing against people online is that people would rather jump in or spam a special move than whiff punish at all.

I am not sure if everyone here is focusing on the footsie aspect of juri or not because I feel this doesn’t get enough recognition and is pretty much keeping her from even being considered sh*t tier in my book.

How the FUCK do you beat bison? I swear to god, every single one of these Mr. Clean lookin motherfuckers is a god when I pick Juri against them.

S.lk, S.mp, S.mk, c.mk and b+hk should be good for whiff punishing.

Shouldn’t be having trouble vs Bison. Can mash c.lk or v reversal to stop his block strings then just use mk pinwheel when he jumps. Should be easy match other than finding places to store while hes charging.

Using V-Skill to cross under opponents may be my favourite thing at the moment.

Assuming in some years they add a second CA, anybody wants it to be a proper FSE? The current v-trigger doesn’t put the fear of god into opponents like it did on SFIV.

Anybody that gets overwhelmed by Juri’s V-Trigger “pressure” in round 1 usually figures out by round 2 that she can’t combo off of overhead and will just continue to block low.

There’s a few changes to Juri comming in the patch next week

The issue which added an additional frame of lag to PlayStation 4 fight sticks on PlayStation 4 has been identified and patched. Now input time is unified across PlayStation 4, legacy controllers and PC.

Juri’s V-Reversal was unintentionally able to hit downed opponents under specific circumstances. Juri’s V-Reversal was corrected so that it cannot hit downed opponents.

Juri’s invincibility during her V-Reversal was unintentionally short. This was corrected by setting the invincibility on Juri’s V-Reversal to 14 frames after the hit box of the move disappears.

Good at least her v-reversal will be a bit better, still waiting for the balance patch is really hard to win with her right now she needs more love.

@Capcom make pin qcb+k again and qcf+mk an overhead and that is all i need.

Well,i say my Juri is average at best. I do struggle with her much more then the other character i play, Cammy. My main issue so far is that i can’t seem to find a correct gameplan for SFV Juri,it seems that no matter how i try to play her i always end up using the hit and run tactic while most of her damage is very situational and when my defense eventually breaks,her health just melts.

The character has flaws but i do accept the fact that her redesign just does not suit me at all and that is most likely a reason for my bad / average performance.I used to main her in 4 and sadly i am not anymore in 5 but i play her because…well i like Juri,simple as that.

As for the balance patch, i have quite a few things to add to the wishlist but i won’t get my hopes up,who knows what capcom has in mind.

Her neutral is very awkward. There are plenty of times where she does not have good options and you have to take risks with her to get something started. This is more so the case with her when compared with other characters. Thankful for the V-reversal buff, as it’s so frustrating having it constantly beat out by several high attacks. Karin’s Rassenha gives me nightmares. :o

Yeah, I am also still unsure how this character is supposed to be played yet.
