They’ve taken it away from everyone else. Does that guarantee they will for Juri? No. I wouldn’t count on it though.

Cammy could never neutraljump Divekick in SFIV. Only EX.
Yun and Yang can, Rufus can, Juri can.
If you count Decapres Arrows as divekicks,then she can do them too.

Really hope her Dive Kick maintain its more consistent hitbox, it was frustrating when they would miss the opponent before those buffs she got in USF4. Hopefully her EX Dive Kick doesn’t make her do her follow ups automatically either.

Was never fond of how they took away her jump back divekick in ultra, since her divekick isn’t used to start pressure like anyone elses, but rather as more of a zoning/punish tool.

I thought it was pretty fair. Being able to retreat by jumping back, with the threat of a (non-ex) divekick if the opponent tries to dash in is a really strong threat.

Now, you could argue why they took that away from Juri but Decapre gets to have hers. Though I think Decapre is all sorts of wonky anyway.

Decapre’s is worse than Juri’s ever was because the EX is + on block and infinitely easier to target the right area of the body with. But yeah having to think and be careful when someone is mindless jumping back is annoying.

Also I just thought of what would be a fitting V-Skill for Juri: A heelgrind attack that doubles as an OTG. =) It’ll be a nice ability to set her apart since I don’t think anyone has been shown to have an OTG(?)

I just realized how i worded that ‘worse than Juri’s ever was’ meant Decapre’s is much worse to deal with. As in Decapre’s > Juri. Didn’t realize how that came out until I read it back to myself.

I use it for pressure after jump forward strong because you can cancel into it. It’s a great way to shut down people who rely heavily on focus attacks. You jump, they focus, you hit, they absorb, you divekick, ARMOR BREAK! At the very worst you would land behind them and they would whiff entirely. I think they took it away because she was the only character that could jump away and punish you for chasing her down with about a good half screen attack range.

One thing I’d like to see design wise is for Juri to look a bit more evil/sinister. She is supposed to be a villain but you really can’t tell just by looking at her, which is disappointing. Also, I’d like to see them play on the spider theme a bit more. Basically I’d like to see them take a page from the Sadira book. If they did that I’d seriously consider playing this character.

She loves chaos but works against Shadaloo AND the good guys.
What is basicly the same Rolento is doing.

Well it’s always gonna be negative on block, so if her opponent respected the option, they could still block and start pressure. But still, I’d rather her have a normal divekick if they take away her ability to jump back and use it.

I could see it being a really fair tool if it’s -1 or -2 on block. That way you don’t get offensive pressure off of it but you aren’t punished for using it. This especially works given the SFV priority system, meaning if you have a divekick blocked you really need to stop and block or else you’re going to be losing whatever situation you put yourself into.

Speaking of her hair and the alt costume, i hope she gets to draw the lucky tickets this time around. I feel like Juri kinda got the short end of the stick with costume packs in SF4. But true , she really needs a costume with her hair down as well.

Considering how much they changed everyone else she probably won’t be like either one
