She had the tools against he big body characters. She is easily one of the hardest matchups for Hugo, Gief, and T-Hawk because of fireballs and st. RH really fuck with them. Also she probably had the best normal anti-airs in SF4 with cr. MP, st. MK, and cr. FP.
She was definitely offensive when she had meter, but before that she was better at playing the footsie game imo. Once she had Feng Shui stocked though she was balls to the wall offense. Personally I hope she can do her same meaty fuhajin release->dash and still be + on block setups.
That second one ⦠seriously? And the āninjaā costumes out of the last picture donāt fit the character that much.
I think the horns were settled on because they come off as more aggressive than plain long hair. Also, having crazy hair is more of a subtle design indicator that sheās crazy than something meant to be appealing.
Well if you are familiar with Rashid; he can do a roll and a jump, which can be converted into a dive kick.
They may take away Juriās command dive kick and use this approach.
Iām not sure if this would make Juriās V-Skill too versatile or OP, however I can see a Mix of Ryu, Laura and Rashid with her.
Ryu for the parrying action (absorbing an attack), which is what activated Kasatushi in SF4.
Laura for the direction dictating F+Mp/Mk, B+ Mp/Mk or U+Mp/Mk
Rashid for the dive, which may allow Juri to V-Skill forward into a dashing dive kick. That would look sick.
Again all of that may give her too much mobility, but the trade off is that you have to absorb an attack to activate it.
Iām not sure if theyāll actually give Juri her command dive kick.
I say that because Capcom wonāt want Juri players dive around like morons and honestly even today when I fight one online this is the style I usually come across.
Back to my point though, Cammyās dive kick is nothing like it is in SF4 and majorly unsafe. It is actually difficult to make it safe or get a consistent link off of it unless you Hooligan+dive kick - but that can be jabbed out on reaction.
Basically what Iām saying is Juriās dive kick would likely be crap anyway.
Of course all conjecture and theory. I am still hoping to see some kind of DLC trailer around launch to prompt people into buying the season pass.
The video reminds me. Has anyone even heard from @Kail in like the last 3 years? I used to play that dude all the time on xbox and I havent heard from his ass in ages.
I expect heāll come back around for Juri in 5 though. He found her fuzzy guard in 4 IIRC. Wouldnt be surprised if he wanted to be the first to find all her new tech.
EDIT: Also Iām kinda worried about dhalsim having an up fireball now because that means we cant divekick punish his projectiles 90% of the time anymore. But on the otherhand it has shit recovery from the looks of it, and if Juri still has her low, fast forward dash, it shouldnt be a problem.
I actually donāt see a problem for Juri with Dhalsims fireball.
If her dash is close to her SFIV dash, then she should be able to dash up and knock him down.
I basicly did the same with Cammy during the last Beta. Dhalsim did a fireball, I made dash forward -> cr.mk xx Arrow.
Your post made me wonder what they will give to her to deal with projectiles considering that pretty much every character has a way to deal with projectiles in this game. Maybe her EX-Senpusha will maintain its projectile invulnerability (hopefully it will still maintain the invincibility buff in USF4), counter will likely stay the same and maybe her dive kick will be tweaked so itās more practical to use, but Iām thinking what can be something that they can give to her thatās new.
Though reading what Iām writing right now I just realised sheāll probably have all of these options, but I still wonder if they will be as useful if not better in SF5.
I was remembering how they gave Chun-li aerial lightning kicks, and then watched some USFIV remix videos and saw Juri with an aerial senpusha. Looks interesting.
Oh Iāll expect it. But that doesnāt mean it will come.
Juriās got likeā¦5000 different ways to get around fireballs. I REALLY hope her V-skill (if itās a brand new move) is not something to get around fireballs. Would be such a waste.
