How would you feel about removing her Fuhajins completely from normal play (giving her something else to compensate), then making Fuhajins her V-Trigger (working exactly how they do in SF4), and finally having FSE as her Super? I feel like this would make Juri very unique because how you use your meter will massively change the way she plays. My basic idea behind this is something like a fair version of Dark Phoenix. I understand if people don’t like this idea but I think that the more unique we make the characters, the better the game will be.

Probably just won’t let her combo from an overhead … period or make the overhead punishable on block. If you took out the comboable overhead then it would be way less scary.
God, I hope not. I managed to deal with Karin’s Rekkas being exclusive to her V-Trigger because it’s been a long time she’s been in a SF game but there’s no reason to go that far with Juri who literally debuted in SSF4 (barely 6 years ago).
Also unlike Karin’s Rekkas, I doubt Fuhajin would be even close to being as useful since there’s not as many options with it and you’d have to store it first (assuming) to release it. It just doesn’t seem worth it imo unless they give some huge advantages on it but even then I doubt this would be a good change at all.
Like Rayartz said, they could make it like Bison’s V-trigger with it being 3 bars and specials drain it faster…
I wonder if they will make the normal chains drain meter faster though, not to the same degree as specials, but a lot less. Like you do MP -> cr.MK -> HK -> Senpusha (that’s if this combo still stays of course), those 2 chained normals (because MP doesn’t count) would drain your V-Gauge but not to the extent of Senpusha.
It’s not something that I’d want, but I just wonder if they’d do this to “prevent it from being too good”.
I would really like some form of her Omega mode Super to return in SFV. It was a lot more versatile than her normal super. It’s projectile invincible, had more reach, and comboed fully off a lot of things.
I think her counter makes the most sense as either her V-Skill or V-Reversal(Alpha Counter). I have no problem with that being the case. I don’t think it’s lazy. If it fits her, it’s fine.
Her counter was never a get out of jail free card, and is easy to bait/punish, and I think that fits SFV’s “honesty”.
I can also see her overhead being a V-Skill, especially if you make it cancelable like her FSE Sekku, but not combo-able, unless counter-hit. It would make her more offensive in general, and would require her to be offensive to reach V-Trigger. Plus, if her V-Trigger is FSE, then she would be a more offensive character overall. Which would make her different from SF4.
There is one thing I can see Capcom doing, and I hope it never happens. They could make her V-Skill be a Focus Attack.
They said they picked Juri as the SF4 representative, so I can see them giving her the SF4 mechanic.
They did this with Viper in MvC3 and Ryu in Smash. Even Ryu’s V-skill is an old mechanic, even though his SFV parry is nothing close to a 3S parry.
Also, please Capcom make sure all her normals have reliable hitbox’s and that her frame data and hitbox’s are correct when she enters FSE. No more st.lp whiffing on every other character, or FSE normals reverting to their SSFIV versions. That shit happened with every update lol.
Hell no, I already dislike that Karin’s rekka was made into a v-trigger, making Juri’s fireball be copy pasted into a v-trigger would make for a fairly weak v-trigger.
I’ll be happy if they just made her CA the SC from omega mode. Doesn’t have to be exactly the same, just a low profile slide that travels halfscreen to let me punish/chase things I normally wouldn’t be able to.
Prediction wise:
V-Reversal will be her teleport
V-Trigger will be FSE
V-Skill will be something new. I’m not really sure what would be a good fit here. Maybe something to reinforce her sadistic personality?
I think Juri will this time be more focused on playing offensiv, I also think they will change her FB game,since that was one of the most technical(and sometimes annoying) part of her.
I think she will have good pokes and a more offensiv projektile.

V-Skill could be a focus attack a la SFIV.
Her CA should either be the SFxT Cross Assult Launcher or new.
I have no idea about V-Trigger and don’t see FSE in that spot.
Or maybe it is FSE but with different properties.
Her EX Pinwheel would be her invincible move.
EX Fireballs would stay in place after some travel time.
EX Divekick would cause a wallbounce.
Still think her fireball should be changed where you charge it with the kick like before, but then just hit the same kick button to release later on, rather than holding down the button. I don’t see what the button holding does other than tie up fingers.
If she gets a Fa type move then it’s basically just like what gief has. I don’t want some garbage ass FA move. That crap can stay in 4. I don’t want that. I want something GOOD for her V-skill or whatever. As for CA just a nice 1-4 combo. Flashy, good dmg, decent start-up and travels at least…1/4 of the screen…maybe just a touch more.
Juri was always an offensive character. No way in hell was she defensive. Doesn’t even have the proper tools for that.
