Monsters will be going down Tuesday, so don’t worry. Brian said the power wasn’t on yet and would be for sure by then. For anyone that has not been to the new place, its in the same area, just on the other side of the pawn shop, in the cell phone shop. (if it looks closed, try opening the door)

Mvc3 is really wearing my patience. Mission mode is stupid. Looks like no spectator mode in the future. Online is terrible. Shadow Mode? Ill admit I suck at this game but I thought the devs were supposed to be good. I play mega cheese and the shadows were easy. So I guess the only way ill play with other people is going to a bar/arcade/whatever across town or hopefully galleria will swap the discs in that ssf4 cabinet. Yeah that will happened. Id play there though if it meant playing people in a lagless setting. Fuck this game. Hopefully Jill will redeem everything about this game.
My online play has been alright. Most games have low or really low input lag and some are pretty flawless.

MVC3 is kind of broken.
EVERY character can fight in this game because of how easy damage is to find, and how fucking good throws are. Nobody is safe from any character. I think the game is very balanced character wise, and given a couple more weeks/months everyone will see what the other characters can do. I’ve played nearly every character in the game for several hours and can say that everyone is a contender at this current stage of the game.
Some characters are pretty fucking scrubby. I could do some pretty combos with viewtiful joe/viper/magneto (not online of course), but hulk or sentinel can just jump c + s and dial it in for more damage. Is it scrubby? Yes. Am I a scrub for getting hit by hulk or sentinel? Yes.
But my problem isn’t with any character being scrubby or good, It’s with xfactor. It’s BEYOND retarded, to the point where it’s not even fun to win with it because it’s not a deserving win, or losing to it getting you salty. Sometimes you just lose to xfactor and you can’t really do anything about it. Dormammu yoga catastrophe x2 with xfactor on your incoming character? just put the stick down, you’re done.

I agree xfactor has to be one of the dumbest game mechanics implemented in a fighter… It’s always a laugh when I see a player clearly outplaying the other until one player activates xfactor It’s almost like a comedy show. It truly brings out the worst in people.
xfactor lvl 3 = Run for 20 seconds or get bodied, but I digress 
I don’t even think anything of it anymore when i come back with 1 character or someone 1v3’s me. It’s just normal now in the game, it’s almost to be expected if they have xfactor and you don’t.
Should start a petition to have the option to turn x-factor off in vs mode. Its what is needed.

Its getting kind of boring for me as well. I’m trying to play with a bunch of different characters but its the same combos with different ppl. M. M. H. S. Repeat, otg or super. Of course there’s variations but not much. Like I said, capcom really holds your hand when it comes to combos.
Gonna see if learning some resets will repeak my interest.
Alone, this is one of the most boring fighters ever. I tried learning some of storms fly and dash cancel combos, but why learn them if abcs bcs super does just as much damage? Same with ammy, I COULD learn some diff combos but they all do around the same amount. The only character that I felt like actually gained anything was dante, and that’s because it just extends the range he can do combos at.
Ill be at the bar on wedn, set up and all. Ill try and stay late but we’ll see. I might also have online soon but from what I’ve played of it its… ugh.
Edit: I don’t agree with a lot of things about x factor. Level 3 especially. Actually, lv3 xfactor is really all that bothers me. I think its a good system that can be used smart to counter certain things like chip down. Xfc to make things safe is also great. But bullshit like lv3xf sent is just dumb. I accept phoenix just cause she’ll gimp the team if you fuck up. Imo, bring down the level of 3 to 2, 2 to 1 and just make 1 normal but a cancel/no chip.
I think the come back factor also has to do with the fact that it takes like, 2 combos to kill most of the cast.
