Smiley’s was great this week. Monsters was too, their new location is really nice. A little smaller, but the atmosphere is better. Saw so many new faces too.

Hey Houston, been a while since I’ve checked online boards, but it has been hard to find some games of MVC3. Right now I’m a decent player but not wanting to spend long in tournaments. I would like to get some practice sessions in with 2-3 people that are intermediate level though (does death combos etc.) Main requirement is a player that wants to figure out how to win more than complain about how others win.
Harold, this is Brian. I’ll be in Colorado this weekend, but I was thinking of having another get together next weekend. I’ll try to invite more people also.
Let me know also Brian, I’m actually trying to play the game now. There’s another guy that lives less than a few minutes away from me that I’ve been practicing with so far and the game is a fresh change of pace for me even if people are complaining.
Edit - Also found out I got accepted into nursing school for the fall. I better make all the practice count since my life as it is right now will be over once the school starts in August.

GGS guys last night at Smileys on both MvC3 & SSFIV. Playing SSFIV on projection screen was awesome.
I had my first encounter with a very good MODOK player in the tourney and got trashed.
Yeah AirBrushKing, I’m retiring Thor from my my crew and will be picking up Doom, Hisen-Ko, Storm, Trish, Hulk and Taskmaster to rotate in that 3rd spot with Wesker & Magneto.

Anyways, I wanna thank everyone from the houston scene for everything, for just being the Houston scene in general. I’ve been going through some shit the past few days and have really just been down on myself and had no confidence at all. I wouldn’t have even joined the tournament if Jan didn’t tell me to stop being a little bitch and just enter. I just wanna thank everyone for the last couple of months. I’ll def come down to houston often, but not seeing you guys every wedn is really something thats… going to suck. I’m gonna miss you guys.

Wed Fight Night Wrap Up: Wowsers, another sick night. 35 people came out and 22 registered for the tys mvc3 tournament. Places were 1st/Jan/2nd/Ajtucker/3rd/Kobe. Jan has recieved an exhibition spot for the march 30 royal rumble. All he has to do is show up and make the money im sponsoring. I would like to give a shoutout to everyone that came and once again enjoyed an incredible night. Good seeing some of the OG stargate players. Crow finally came through and that man is straight crazy. He was acting the fool to them songs the dj was spinning. He needs to come to dennys so it can be like old times. Alot of new people joined us this time and now that rampage has made the version 3 flyer, time to start the outside promo. See everyone next week =]

Highlight of the Night: Fine ass yellabone chick and them girls on the stage in they swimsuits dancing on the pole. Man, when they came through the building, they was turning heads. I was like they might need to call the hospital cause they was mos def breaking boys NECKS! Cant wait till next week to see what yum yums they bringing…
