It’s pretty solid when it’s on the game characters though, they just don’t show him as much as the people.
From what I remember they kinda did SA straightforward aside from Chris being pushed into the story. Also they had to push Cream and Cheese into both SA and SA2’s arc even though they weren’t around for it. SA2 arc also had a glaring change in the fact that Chris was the one that made Shadow realize Maria’s true intentions instead of Amy. SA2’s arc actually used Live and Learn during the Super Sonic and Super Shadow fight with Biolizard…in the Japanese version. The cut it out for whatever reason in the dub.
There’s actually a vid that kinda does a comparison for SA2 and X for when Sonic gets jettisoned into space.

Interestingly enough…Sonic X was where the idea of Shadow having power inhibitors on his wrists came from before the games or the comic used it.
Eh, but I felt the whole “kids taking over” was only really an issue for Energon when it comes to Transformers. Armada had a whole bunch of other issues, Cybertron was fine, Prime it never felt like an issue except with Miko at the beginning (and the Arcee/Jack partnership got a bit…unnerving at times) and I don’t see anyone ever complaining about G1 and Beast Wars.
But yeah it was horrible with Sonic because we already went through the good versions of these arcs, and now we had to deal with them with a kid no one liked. I’d compare it more to the Resident Evil movies.

No one complains about humans in Transformers G1 and Beast Wars because Spike and Sparkplug were actually useful along with Chip Chase, and Beast Wars has no annoying humans at all.
Instead, we have Cheetor and Silverbolt’s dumb, naive asses instead… At least Silverbolt was incredibly campy to the point of hilarity and had Black Arachnia to play off of.
Silverbolt was a parody on campy characters…hell megaton laughed at him when he asked him his name.

Anywho, here is the Sonic games I played and liked: Sanic 1-3, Mean Bean Machine, Spinball, CD, Sonic R, Sonic The Fighters, Knuckles Chaotix, SA 1 and 2, Heroes (Yeah I liked it, I sometimes have bad taste), Sonic Advance 1-3, Sonic Battle, All-Star Racing and Transformed, Generations.
Sonic games I played and disliked: Sonic 06.
Sonic games I haven’t tried yet: Tails Game Gear title, Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Unchained, Sonic Chronicles, Sonic Colors, Sonic 4 Episodes one and two, Sonic Lost World.
Dunno what I missed outside of some Game Gear titles I didn’t feel were worth a mention. Always a fan of the franchise, just been a long while since I played any until the Sanic Humble bundle got me Generations. Going to start up Episode 4 next.
Keep expectations low going into 4 >.>. If you deal with werehog then Sonic Unleashed 360/PS3 is uh…ok on the whole. Other than that I’d place playing Sonic Colors at the top over everything followed by Sonic Lost World Wii U.
Yeah I am not ignorant on the titles, but eventually I may play them with limited expectations. I am hype for Colors and Lost World though, heard nothing but good things about those two. Thanks for the heads up though buddy.
I thought Unleashed outside of the Werehog stuff looked really fun, if they just made a game without the gimmick probably would have done better.
