^ Hidden Palace isnāt all that special. Itās neat, but the boss is just irritating.
As for the hidden Hill Top area, Iāve confirmed itās in the Android (and iOS?) port only. Compiling a video showing said area as we speak.

More Sonic 2 Android info/ramblings:
Knuckles properly bounces off bosses when gliding ala S3&K. This is a drawback against Zone 3ās boss, but a huuuuuuuge benefit when looking to safely hit the final boss with Knucklesā gimped jump height.
Knuckles has S3&K latching-onto-wall and glide-skid sound effects, and dust for the latter.
No more easy emeralds for Knuckles; in his special stages he has to get just as many rings as the other two.
Found more new paths in Chemical Plant and I think a new one in Metropolis. Metropolis is still boring.
Knuckles no longer gets the āworried Tails cutscene.ā 
You can have Tails airlift Sonic, and while playing by yourself no less! Up + Jump in the air, then grab on. Use Down + Jump to let go. Havenāt tested in water. This also works inā¦
Sonic 1 Android! Picked it up. Also by Whitehead (is he this Taxman fellow?). Sonic can spin dash, which makes dull-ass Sonic 1 a little less dull.
You can unlock Tails and Knuckles, but they arenāt available from the get-go. Tails can still fly, Knuckles can still glide.
At least Marble Zone has some new paths for Tails/Knuckles. Go high!
The Special Stages rotate smoothly (think Mode 7). I donāt know if this is what makes them easier, but theyāre super easy now.
Was thinking of picking up Sonic CD on Android on principle to support Whitehead, but I fucking hate Sonic CD with a passion. I doubt playable Tails can save it.
Yesā¦Mr.Whitehead is Taxman. And the work youāre spouting sounds awesome. If I have to spend money on another port/version of those classic games then Iām willing to buy these if you bring them to a consoleā¦unless itās the Xboneā¦then Iāll be saddenedā¦
Just finished this game on my phone with sonic. The path to hidden palace is stupid lol. The one time I didnāt forget about the pit of death it turns out I missed out on a new level. But yeah this game is great. Iām extremely happy that It also supports bluetooth controllers so I was able to hook up my tablet to my tv and play it in a more convenient way.

Sonic 1 has a new 7th special stage thatās balls hard, but you need to access a hidden level select/sound test menu to get to it. That same menu lets you give Sonic his insta-shield, elemental shields (with Sonic 3 controls), and Super Sonic. Super Sonic is nowhere near as fun in Sonic 1 though.
Sonic 2 has a similar hidden thing, with a new 8th special stage (with corkscrews!) and the Sonic 3 stuff. It also lets you play as Knuckles & Tails together.
Can you get video of the corkscrewes? Id love to see that.

The bomb placement on that stage is evil in some areas.
Giving you guys the heads up. Sonic Lost World is on sale 10 bucks off for both the 3DS and Wii U versions at GS. Donāt know of thatās the same anywhere else.
Edit: Iām also going to just throw this out thereā¦I feel that the 3DS version is worth 19.99ā¦if that and the sale puts it at 29.99 so buy only if your curiosity gets the better of you is my advice.
Soo it seems that a new Sonic game for Next gen consoles has been outed
Supposedly wonāt be out until next year. Since this isnāt exclusive to Nintendo platforms Iām guessing we still have one more Sonic game that may show up this year.
Also it seems the new show that coming out this fall is going to be CG which I donāt remember hearing that before. The only thing I can think of is that shadow of Knux from that picture beforeā¦
I know it doesnāt have to be, because itās aimed at younger children, but Iād be happy if the new sonic cartoon was enjoyable to watch.
I donāt care if itās aimed at younger peepsā¦I just want it to be good. The fact that I canāt stop thinking about Knuxās shadow in the picture before hand though has me worried. Hopefully he isnāt as distracting as I feel heās probably going to end up.
if its CG then it has no hope, this means more effort and less episodes. Dont even think this will be taken seriously, if they break out in song every five minutes its a wrapā¦ lol

You knowā¦it kinda sucks that the Mega Man thread we had got killed off by some random ass cause I just found out that Archie is about to do a Megaman and X crossover in the comic.
The Sonic comic currently looks like itās setting up for an Unleashed adaptation and Shadow is in the middle of getting his own arc in Universe with the introduction of a character that kinda has me facepalming. I will sayt heyāve made E-123 Omega quite entertaining.
