Most of the problems with the game isn’t due to it’s glitches more than it’s overall programming. Look at all these characters that must go on stage to play their part and in the end, only 2 of them (with similar gameplay styles - Sonic & Blaze) make sense.
Am I the only one that can actually sit down and enjoy 06 Sonic slightly?

I mean… it’s not Superman 64 or Charlie’s Angels (for the Wii, I think) bad. There are worse games than Sonic 06. At least 06 isn’t completely void of a sense of enjoyment. It has a memorable soundtrack. It has some interesting level themes. Not all of the story arcs are completely devoid of quality (Shadow’s) and they’re not impossible for some to enjoy. It is possible to play the game without running into glitches. There are people who still speed run it to this day.

That fan made movie was terribly cheesy, but relatively enjoyable, I guess

I never touched on that movie…and after having it settle in I’d have to say my biggest gripe is that Sonic…IS TOOO SLOOWWWWWW. The sense of speed just wasn’t there for me.
I still need to 100% that game.
Can’t seem to get an S rank on Destroyed City or whatever it’s called.

eh i kinda like him ( i like his comic book counter part WAY MORE). The character I dislike characters in the games for weird reasons that’s going to make the people in this forum very mad at me.
I don’t like Silver if only because he’s another hedgehog.

Edit: No honestly, if there is one aspect in gaming that I am pretty stonewall about it’s that i hate playing as other people in Sonic games. I feel this way in general about most Self Titled games, usually cuz the titled character has strengths justifying his name on the box. When I play a Sonic game I wanna play as Sonic, his names on the box and I expect a certain kind of gameplay from it and alt characters usually deviate from that gameplay mind set. Sonic’s about speedy platforming, most other characters fail to produce this kind of gameplay. I didn;t mind Shadow cuz he adheres to the basic principle of Sonic Gameplay. Speedy platforming.
I feel this way about the Sly Cooper series too for example. While I don’t mind taking a romp in someone else’s shoes, I want the vast majority of my gameplay to be with Sly or a Sly equivalent.
I think putting a Mascots name on the box means he needs to be the main focus 90% of the time. I’m really not that interested in a Sonic game that’s minimul Sonic, or a Jak games that’s minimal Jak. Feel like putting that name on the box kinda makes a promise to the consumer and they should live up to it. If they want to make a game where you play as a bunch of people including Sonic then it needs a different name.
Funny enough my opinion on this changes completely when the main dudes name isn’t on the box, like Devil May Cry for example. I love playing as Nero and Vergil. Shrug
