It broke street date in some shops in the US and Canada.
Also I’ve read more impressions of the demo, I recommend not getting it, it’s not very good apparently =/

Well I did think it was weird it only being $40 right away.
BTW 360 ver lets you play as your Avatar…so if your Avatar is Raiden from MK, that’ll appear as the character in the vehicle.
I completely agree.
Shadow Ace…I think you might be getting ‘Sonic Boom’ confused with ‘You Can Do Anything (Toot Toot Sonic Warrior)’…
Hope they release a cd soundtrack for this too.
The Burning Depths track is a fucking nightmare for me. Narrow corridors + A-class = total clusterfuck.
I bolded what I think is ridiculous. The 2 Sonic fighting games, the RPG, Sonic Heroes, all immensely better than the games I bolded.
3D Blast was always lame, Sonic R is like a bad joke Sonic 4 is literallly Sonic Rush without a boost and Sonic Riders? They don’t even come up with an excuse for him riding the dumb skateboard thing AND it added even more pointless characters. Birds who need skateboards to fly.
Damn, I’m late.
Ass if you idolize the classics as far as physics and gameplay that doesn’t tell you when and where to sit and stand when there’s a chair at your feet. Hate automation? Avoid.
Tits if you liked Ep1/Rush
ShTH is playable, but ironically, Shadow’s portrayal/story in 06 is better than in his own game.
They weren’t as bad as Unleashed and S4E2. Scripts in a 2D Sonic… what a backwards concept. But for Generations, I can honestly only speak for the modern gameplay.
You forgot to mention that the camera and shadows in the Werehog gameplay are fundamentally wrong or missing, which contributes to a hell of a lot of frustration. Even though I experienced high points with the Werehog gameplay (DLC stages for example) most people feel it has no business being in a Sonic game. It may be platform based, but it’s flaws are profound. I agree with the aesthetics of Unleashed. It is perhaps the best looking game in the series (you can credit Sachiko Kawamura for that - she also created the Chao… and I would wife her for her current character art), but Generations is technically superior for it’s extensive use of 3D and less use of pre-rendered backgrounds. If I were to compare both Generations and Unleashed to each other, but only half of each game (SonicUnleashedSonic and SonicModernSonic gameplays), I’d say Unleashed is more rewarding because it’s generally more challenging, but as a package, definitely Generations. Generations focuses on the gameplay better. Both games are nice, but the President of Sega should have thought more about his customers instead of his bottom line when Sonic Team was making Unleashed the way they wanted to.
I agree with the individual who said Sonic 3 was too easy - in fact it is overall the easiest Sonic Genesis title… although I think the special stages in Sonic 3 were a bit more challenging than in the Knuckles half. I’ve never complained about pits in a 2D Sonic game, ever. I would never play 3 without Knuckles because 3 alone had so many glitches that were fixed in S3&K (big arm damaging Super Sonic, falling through the floor of Ice Cap 1 as Sonic, etc.). Most areas in Flying Battery that have pits are avoidable, and I can only really think of two that aren’t. Sandopolis Act 2 is a mind game of urgency, and you don’t have to turn on the lights. Calling it a flaw suggests to me that you’re actually scared of ghosts. I love 3, but for me, it’s just so much better with Knuckles. The Knuckles half for me is like, “Yay, I get to play Sonic 3 for longer! Challenge accepted! LET’S DO THIS!” I couldn’t wait to get to the Lava Reef and Hidden Palace zones and the final boss battle - always fun, though it can be looked at as a mashfest/ohshittimetoaim/mashfesttowin.
Credits theme in Sonic 3… was different. I’m not gonna say it sucked, but it was so soft and felt kind of like it could’ve been for a different game. Personally, I love the mixes of all the stage music put together in these games and S&K’s is probably my favorite credits theme.
Oh, and I found Sonic R to be an abomination - the soundtrack is the complete opposite.
And Ice Cap Zone music is nice, but overrated. I think people’s love for snow is a contributing factor to this love. Hydrocity Act 2 is godlike, though. So was Carnival Night 2.
And I got bored with SA2 after completing the story, but I’ll try that Chao feeding strategy in the future. My first two Chao were Dark and Neutral.
Did someone say credits theme to sonic 3? I love that song!

I’ve been replaying Unleashed a bit recently. The main issue that I have with the werehog is that his jumping is screwed up. It’s so hard to actually direct yourself while in midair. It’s only a real problem when you have to land on a small platform though (which is relatively rare) so I can overlook it. Also, fuck Holoska at night. It probably didn’t even occur to the designers that you don’t *have *to put in ice physics just because it’s an ice level. Sometimes it works, here it doesn’t. Despite it’s problems, I do still enjoy the werehog and the change in pace that it provides. After I’ve done a day level over and over to get that S rank, sometimes I enjoy something a bit slower paced. It’s almost relaxing in a way.
Ohh, THAT game. It’s not bad. Kinda prefer the 16-bit version, though. I don’t doubt MJ’s ability. He was a musical genius.
So there’s a poll going on on the SEGA forums to vote for at least non-Sonic series characters to be DLC in Racing Transformed. ATM, some whackos are trolling by giving Hatsune Miku the highest votes atm.
The top 3, besides Miku who can for now disregard, are Vectorman, Segata Sanshiro and Ryo from Shenumue. Oh and you can also vote for Kiryu:
http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?427121-S0L-s-Challenge-The-Campaign-for-SEGA-characters-to-become-DLC
You don’t have to sign up to the forums, but if you value your manliness you’ll know who to vote for.
…and honestly even if the voted characters don’t make it…would really say no to a vote FOR Segata Sanshiro?

Would you?
I hope Miku is disregarded because not only is she not a Sega character but people are also cheating to bolster her votes.
If Hatsune Miku gets put in I’d play her from time to time just for the lulz.
I’m down to play Ryo, I think he’s at 3rd place currently. Sadly Kazuma is drastically low, which is a shame since I think the Yakuza franchise is probably the best Sega brand this entire generation.
interestingly enough…Sonic is the one cussing and not Shadow. I haven’t heard the edgy hog drop any words but Sonic seems to be the one who loses his cool for a second when he loses sometimes lol.
Why is Ryo in that poll? He was in the last game, they shouldn’t have taken him out in the first place. And my vote shall go to either Axel or Toejam & Earl
Ryo’s exceeded 1000 votes because some french news site covered his poll.
Vectorman’s getting close to 1000 and so is Ristar.
I’m for Toejam & and Earl or Ristar.
Game needs dat Big Earl Bump!
