seriously though alot of scenes where cut from the 4kids dub and they skipped over some episodes…the dialogue is similar but in some parts its different…I recommend starting with the Shadow Arc because chris and the other humans are to involved in the New World and Chaos arcs

I enjoy the voices to the english dub version. Hearing Sonic speak japanese isn’t my cup of tea.
It’s less about his voice and more about changed scripts, edited scenes and messed up characterizations.

Took me a while on Egg Dragoon too because I didn’t know you had to hit both halves of the machine equally. The first time through I landed countless hits on the top but he never went down and he would eventually get me.
In regards to Sonic X, take the above advise and watch the Japanese version if you can. I’m not 100% certain because I’m too lazy to IMDB it but I think the voice actors from the game were used for the Japanese dub. If not they sure sound close.
Again, it’s less a VA thing and more a “4Kids dubbed the English version” issue.

I also vote for JP. The last parts of the show though are only in english as far as I found though unfortunately. I also liked ‘S.O.N.I.C.’ more than ‘GOTTA GO FAST!’
I dig what Jun and Cash Cash did for Stardust Speedway and am at odds with their version of Sonic Boom. Johnny’s vocals and Jun’s guitar work are fine but that auto tune…not a fan of it or more specifically how it’s used in that track.
Either case though Sega should keep Cash Cash around at least until they start deciding they need to do more vocal stuff then instrumental work. Cash Cash should continue to stick with a more happy medium when it comes to the auto tune. That’s my opinion though.
