Sonic generations version of the Spagonia rooftop run. Not sure if it has been posted, but here it is…

Must… not… press… play…
i hate how most people in these demos never take the harder pathways with modern sonic…I wanna see whats up there, and they always miss the jump…oh well…
Okay, so evidently I missed something… which was drifting while NOT boosting. Drifting while NOT boosting builds meter.
So hey try this. See if the meter falls at the same speed while drift boosting as it does when normally boosting.
Drift boosting uses meter at a considerably slower rate than raw boosting. It’s so slow, it’s hardly noticable
So you do earn boost while drifting, it;s just not enoughto stop the meter from going down. Enough to slow it down a lot tho.
You gain meter drifting while not boosting and it builds a considerable amount of meter. If you are drifting while boosting, you loose meter at an extremely slow rate.
I’ll just make a video of it tomorrow.
Yea I pretty much said the same thing.
Wow half the price! At first I thought uncharted 3 and darksouls prevented me from getting the game but at 30 bucks how can I say no?
Cut-scenes are out…I refuse to watch them…

On a side note, if you just happen to have no meter at all and need a fast way to move (granted you’re in full 3D mode)… just go into a drift. It’s a faster way to pick up speed than running.
1:49:67 on modern.
i need to play the demo some more, i got out of practice of playing Sonic with a controller, I got so used to colors w/ a nunchuck, and I havent played Unleashed inna sec…I like the sonic ball drift stuff, its way easier than the old drifting from Unleashed…although I kinda started getting the hang of it when I was playing it alot…
I saw the PC version available for pre-order on Steam. Pre-order bonus is a PC copy of Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic 3D Blast. I’m all for that!
…except where the hell is the demo? I’m only gonna buy it if I can be convinced it won’t run like crap on my machine, otherwise I’m gonna be getting the PS3 version. The system requirements only help you gauge that so much.
Sega put out two demo builds for the consoles, so there isn’t really much of an excuse for that. So lame. I am debating just taking the plunge anyway for the two free games and hoping for the best on Generations itself, since I have a good graphics card.
I’ve been bouncing back and forth from Unleashed to the SG Demo. When I first played Unleashed, the first thing I noticed was the homing attack is a separate button from the jump attack which at first was really, really weird. Glad it’s back to the jump button in SG. Also, I can appreciate the ease hopping from rail to rail with the directionals instead of the top bumper buttons. The Unleashed controls didn’t really add anything but a slightly strange, slightly unfamiliar feel. No complaints, though. Controls aside, I’m just glad modern Sonic feels so much lighter and easier to use. In Generations, you don’t even need to pickup speed to drift, you just need to be moving and hit left or right while holding down a drift button.
i guess that what feels funny to me, the homing attack is on jump…but yeah, I’m loving the refined control overall.
I guess I’m used to it because when it was introduced in Sonic Adventure, that’s how it originally was. How is it in Colors? Same button or separate?
its the jump button in Colors too, but it was a little easier cause of how it was set up boost was the trigger button, the only face button was jump/homing.,and I guess its cause Colors was kind of a slower game with Boost not being tied to rings and enemies u werent boosting all over the place so you had more reaction time…tying boost meter to the wisps nerfed it big time, glad its back to how it used to be…
