Stop with the countdown please >_< It’s bad enough I gotta wait for this game ;.;
Chances are I’ll have to visit some relatives abroad for a week from the 2nd of Nov. but if I get it on the 1st I’ll try to play it for the entire day lol.
I’ll respect your wish.
For the demo, I wound up staying up nearly the entire night. By the time it was 4am, I went to sleep but I kept waking up every hour. I left my 360 on to occasionally check to see if it was up and that seemed to make it harder to go back to sleep each time, lol. Guess I’m too used to getting releases at 3am PST/6am EST by Capcom. I was so excited. Every day now, I’m eager to hear some form of Sonic Generations news (that doesn’t involve leaks). The demo is mad hype, though.
Is anyone going to the Sonic Generations of Skate Event in So Cali?
Speaking of news… The Official Release Date for 3DS Generations is confirmed. All I can say is… if anyone is looking forward to getting the 3DS version and not the console… probably wanna gather as many people together as possible and prepare writing letters to Sega…
Also… there seem to be a few events in the NorCal area as well - my area: We’re Building a Sonic The Hedgehog Playground. All I can say is… SIGN ME UP. SIGN ME THE FUCK UP FOR VOLUNTEERING.
I wonder if I can find/make a countdown clock for myself…
10/13, shinobi, 10/15 mario, 10/22 SG…wow.
aahhhh ok yeah rolling momentum isn’t quite there but it’s far and beyond better than 4’s.
you mean november right?
I don’t know how I feel about them going ahead and releasing the 3DS version on Nov. That means they have less than a month to polish it…we’ll see.
oh my dear lord…here we go
I’m just being patient until i can get my paws on Generations, the full game, lock myself in a room, and rock out with Modern Sonic until my heart is content i have REALLY been looking forward to the re imagined zones with the hedgehog engine…my years of loyalty to Modern Sonic I feel are coming to a culmination in this game…
classic sonic will be a blast too i heart the classic games with all my being, but I cannot wait to crank out some sweet S Rank runs w my modern sonic.
This is probably why I shouldn’t have ignored the drift function in Unleashed LOL. But it’s cool that his drift animation is a spin and it doesn’t build meter for free. I really wonder just how easy it will function in future stages seeing how easier Sonic is to [S]manipulate[/S] control.
Up to 1:50:67… must… go… fasterrrrrr.
Actually…I think drifting does still build meter the only difference is that it doesn’t build meter as fast as it did in Unleashed. It’s easy to tell in the run within the first few moments when he’s drifting and boosting and when he’s just plain boosting. Boosting without drifting is eating way more meter.
Edit: I’m also just now noticing that when you start a boost it automatically takes a chunk out of the bar before it does a slow burn. Looks like starting a boost costs at least 1/10 bar. (1/8 is too big a chunk)
HOW DO YOU SPIN DASH AND DRIFT LIKE THAT?!?!
Seriously all I know is Boost, Jump and Slide lol, what buttons must you press to do that?
On Xbox it’s either trigger buttons (LT/RT).
Oh, and if you jump and press A (or O on a PS controller) he does his ground smash attack move. idk what it’s called lol
Wait the trigger buttons on PS controller are R1 and L1, which both make sonic move to the right and left, respectively, while running.
Also just learned that each Sonic will have 1 act and 5 missions, would’ve prefered 2 acts for each instead TBH, but oh well; they just HAD to find a way to cram Sonic’s buddies into this lol.
I’m holding out for DLC zones since I don’t know if it’s been annouced. If the game is as good as I hope it’ll be, I’m gonna want to play more of it.
Then it should be R2 and L2.
No, I can confirm that it doesn’t build meter. Even if you go through that section without drifting, you build meter because you’re destroying enemies.
But here’s the thing… if you’re boosting while drifting, it seems you either don’t lose meter at all or you lose it at an extremely slow rate. (I’m thinking you don’t lose it at all.)
This is making modern Sonic a bit more interesting now.
ahhh…interesting.
A new trailer was shown at the Golden Joystick Awards that supposedly showed 'him’
He better be in the game, people already found both versions when they hacked into the demo. Not much of a “super” reveal to me.
Hyper Sonic needs to be in the game.
I was wrong about there not being an animation for classic Sonic on being on an edge. It’s just a lot more difficult to see because you have to be at the very tip. Some edges allow it, some don’t. He has two different animations (Sonic 1 & Sonic 3 versions.) But one thing he surely doesn’t seem to have is a push animation. Hmm… hope Sega didn’t forget that he does that…
Another thing I learned was when you’re modern Sonic performing tricks, you can perform a “Finish” by tapping LB+RB (perhaps L1+R1 on PS3?) simultaneously. I noticed the guy who did the record breaking run doing them and I thought there was a combo specific trick to it, but nah. Just finish it whenever you want. Not sure exactly how the finish move works in terms of building meter. Perhaps the bigger the combo, the more meter you gain using finish? I’d test it but I’m done for now.
I didn’t know Sonic Generations was coming for PC…I might jump on the Steam copy instead.
