I remember this movie.
I played the demo of Vanquish today, and it was fucking crazy. I was impressed and will pick it up sometime.
Played Ketsui last week, got my ass handed to me like usual. Really waiting for dat Daifukkatsu to come out :bgrin:
Been playing vanquish. This game is essentially the first real next-gen arcade shooter. Really fast, bullets everywhere, lots of one hit deaths, lots of weapons WITH on-the-fly powerups, fuck hard, story is just an excuse to KILL ROBOTS, etc. You have to get this game man.
It ain’t you dude. that fucking game is ROUGH. God bless you if you lose your power-ups on the last stage. You’ll get it worse than a sexy looking mutha locked up in the All-Rapists wing of max security. Now I’ve gotta fire up the ancient beast and try to beat it. Oldschool rules you!

Trouble Witches coming to XBLA via SNK
I never paid much attention to the game before, but it looks to have some neat mechanics. I’m a sucker for bullet gathering / cancelling systems (see: Takumi’s stuff), so I have a feeling I’ll have a blast with this.

^The more shmups the better. I wonder when Square (Einhander) and Irem (everything that’s not the original R-Type) will wise up.
And yes, Vanquish is great. Go download the demo to get a little taste.
I only hope and pray that an Einhander 2 or a clone worthy of it will come forth while I still breathe. God PLEASE let this be!! Irem should’ve BEEN gave us more. Still, R-Type Final was good stuff for me. :tup: That one ending stage with the couple making out in the background COMPLETELY caught my ass off guard. Imagine being a little buzzed on rot-gut vodka, Jammin’ on a 42" screen, your homies are there enjoying the show and their little ones (Age 3,5, and one 18-month old) all peeping the screen, when this pair come out and start bumping uglies in front of the entire free world? Let’s just say that the first time I met that, I didn’t prevail.
