downloaded the gundemonium collection. they sure were vague with the instructions/system. i beat gundeadliGne on standard, but somehow got the demonic mode trophy. i’m trying to alter break the stages. i’ve only played recollection a few times, but it seems alright. i’m enjoying hitogapa happa the most, though. this is the first game i’ve ever played that kills you if you don’t kill the boss in time. the first boss whupped my ass for a while, but i finally beat him. now, i’m getting beat down by the third(mission 2) boss, even with my man the missile doll. do you have to break down every piece of the damn thing, or what?

Get four of the same color kills in the row, then the icon drops for you to pick up that power up (like green is a straight laser I think).

But if you liked SIE2, just wait till you play Infinity Gene.

I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to collect the power-up or just let it fall as long as I got the power-up to appear. Played it a lot during my break at work, I can get a bingo every now and then. I really love this game, how do I go for a bigger score? If I am really lucky I can get a B rank on the first 2 stages

and I found a fun little Galaga variation from Namco called Cosmo Gang the Video. its for SNES and it is lots of fun. I actually prefer it over Galaga. It has power-ups and lots of enemy variations. One of my favorites is the clown face power-up, a giant clown face pops out of your ship and paralyzes the enemy with fear!

Someone in there got a reply from CAVE about the decreased slowdown:

All right, I have a response from Cave. Pardon the literal translation:

Cave wanted to fix some unintended slowdown in the original, which compromised the level of difficulty in those sections. They upgraded the production environment of the graphics engine, so the U.S. version handles the graphic assets better. They’re now working as originally intended, so things will be more difficult.

CoD series has some realistic one shot, one kill factors other than head shots, which IRL wouldn’t work with lower calibur weapons because the bullets can just bounce off of the skull. Deathsmiles already has this though, along with basically any shmup with walls; R-Type, Gradius, etc.

I’ve been playing it the last couple of days and I’m enjoying it so far. I do suggest if you can to overclock the PSP to 333 so you don’t run into too much slowdown. Other than that it’s just some bullet hell goodness with the extra bonus of Iroha and the full version of SkyStage. I wonder will they release Ultimate Shooting on XBLA instead? To me it seems like the best way to go about it.

You may want to check out Darius Twin and Strike Gunner STG for the SNES.

So.

I finally got my burst of good luck and now I have replaced my PS3. On top of that, I DLC’ed Afterburner Climax. Me so happy!!! :lovin: It’s really just more of the same old same old with more bells, whistles, and eye candy, but I always loved the original and have played it from the first time I laid eyes on it to this very day. Now it’s got an upgrade and I’m all over it. It has newer challenges and more variety than just our friend the F-14 so it’s worth a look IMO. I’ll be DLC’ing more as the days progress, so expect this thread to get shot…a lot.
