for you Wii owners I highly recommend Star Parodier, its amazing. Im actually really bad with these parody games. theyre usually so bright and pastel colored and everything is cartoonish and moving all over the place it confuses me sometimes.

what is rebirth exactly? I’m guessing it’s not a port cause otherwise the title would be misleading =/
It’s not a port, it’s original (although it’s mostly familiar Gradius territory, of course). There are only 5 stages, as far as I can tell. The manual strongly implies hidden bonus stages ala SNES Gradius 3, and you can upgrade your weapons by selecting them multiple times ala Gaiden.
Looks like Dr. Venom’s back. That kinda explains Gradius V’s ending when the Bacterion Brain mentioned Venom, but I don’t know if Gradius Rebirth does take place after 5.
From what I’ve heard, it takes place between Gradius 1 and MSX Gradius 2.

Wow, I just picked up the Dodonpachi Dai-ou-jou Black Label DVD, which has insanely ill player HFD ripping the game to shreds. Jesus. I have never seen higher level play than this. Definitely the most amazing run I’ve ever seen.

As for the DDP DOJ Black Label DVD, the reason I say it’s the sicket replay I’ve ever seen:
?HFD chains every level on both loops
?He uses crazy top tier tactics that I would’ve never imagined, for example intentionally leaving one enemy not destroyed, then as it scrolls to the bottom of the screen, hitting it with the back lazer aura of the DDP ship. When it gets to the bottom of the screen it is in an invincible state, so the combo counter climbs. Not by much, but he does it in a few places, and the fact that he goes out of his way to do it shows his insane desire to top out the score.
?He gets very very close to no-missing Hibachi, the true last boss.
Anyways, yeah will work on the server issue.
Btw, here are some vids of the new Deathsmiles Black Label coming out at the end of October here. Deathsmiles is getting a port to 360 and you should all check it out, pretty fun game once you figure out what the hell is going on.

sounds like some good ish Adverse. Now I really hope I get this job soon. I really want the cash to start some College learning, but I’ll get a game or two in along the way. No sense doing all that work if you’re not even gonna enjoy the reason for it, right?
I hope that site comes back up soon. I wanna see what I’m missing really badly now. Damn. I thought for sure E.S.P. Ra De would get some more love, but it looks like I was wrong. I can’t complain though. DDP is good ish in my book. MAME makes my pants wet with love.

First person shooters are disgraceful.
Anyway, after a long ordeal of trying to track down a few PCBs, I ended up ordering Ketsui. My inspiration was a pad user who I’ve known for years. I’ll still check out the DS version (boss rush only, but still interesting) and the 360 version (if/when it gets released). My friend and I argued one night over how Ketsui 360 is “coming/going to suck/isn’t announced”, then the next day DDPDOJBLEX was given a release date yet Ketsui wasn’t.
Come to think of it… heh, I’d probably end up tracking down the 360 Ketsui once it’s released, too. They’re all region locked, though. Every single shooter has been region locked so far. :shake:
