Ok, I’ve heard the music for the Touhou Project shooters now I must play the games. Where can I find them because I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in stores.
Also, can someone help a brother improve his Axelay game?
So far I’ve played Minishooter RSD which is cute but full o stuff.
Echoes, which is a GeoWars meets Asteroids clone but good.
I also recommend non-shmups Mr. Blocko and Knytt Stories.
Don’t be coming in this thread dissin’ R-Type. Just because you can’t handle the slow pace and all the memorization required doesn’t mean the series sucks. Best go blow yourself. tips hat And you can tell from the screenshots that O5 isn’t going to play like R-Type. Have you not ever heard of Forgotten Worlds or are you about to show your age and lack of shooter experience by replying with “no”?
It’s available for the PC right now, but I think only Play Asia sells it. It will be available on the PlayStation Network for download, though that may not happen until Q2 2008 at the earliest.
Anyway, there’s screenshots and videos in the Media section of the website. I haven’t played it (and likely won’t until the PSN version is released), but it seems like it’s a slower, Gradius-type side-scroller. It also has two-player co-op and an online ranking system.
Touhou games arent really hard to get. Just Google their name, plus like “Megaupload” or some shit, and usually several links come up. For instance, Imperishable Night has MegaUpload link on page 1.
Wish I could help with Axelay too, but I suck at that shit, too.
Very awesome. Thank you. I hope it gets a PS2 port, soon. Sldner-X looks really cool. I’ma have to snag that aswell, for my PC.
How do you guys play those maniac shooters. I can only hang with DoDonPachi and that’s because I’m not a fucking human character. Those doujin shooters are distracting. Give me a space fighter!
I haven’t played too much Touhou games, and even the ones I do I’m not that good at. The Touhou style games are a bit extreme, when it comes to manic shooters. The Cave manic shooters is where I’m at, honestly. I can play those all day.
