Does anyone know how to edit the soundtrack on Warning Forever? I can’t decipher the JP text in the readme for it at all, nor have I been able to get help form JP speakers/readers.

If you are going to take the plunge on any CAVE arcade game I would have to recommend Ketsui. After playing most of the other titles they have to offer (minus galuda 2, musi futari and pink sweets) this game really takes the cake for music and atmosphere. I’ve been playing it for about 8 months straight and don’t plan on quitting when this 2nd loop is such a tough one… (or until I take down DOOM)
EDIT: ^^ also a good reason to purchase this game, it doesn’t look bright on it being emulated on MAME for atleast 5 years and the PS2 port just got cancelled.

I just fired it up after burning it a while ago.
It’s a pretty standard manic shooter, yet still very enjoyable. I no missed the first level the first time I played it. LOL:cool:
grrrr…anyone else have the downloaded game zonde? I’m trying to play it, but the controls want to keep “sticking” to one side of the screen or the other, making it pretty much impossible to dodge, let alone scrape enemy bullets coming in. since it’s in Japanese and I don’t have a language pack loaded, I have no clue how to get the beast to behave. any help you have will be great since this looks like a great game.
…Oh yeah. PCB still has that stuff you want. :tup:

Not a huge fan of Last Hope. Game is kinda weak.
I must get another DC. I didn’t want to shell out bucks on an old system, but that’s where the goods are if you want to get shot it seems.
In the good news department, my better computer seems to be able to again run games without the annoying crash problem that plauged it for so long. now I can shake the house with the good stuff once again. :tup: I’m still thinking about getting a good monitor to go with it now, but might wait up on that for a little while. here’s to getting shot again.

I just finished the precursor to the Metal Slug series, Gun Force 2. It’s made by the same people who did the first Metal Slug. It’s so close to slug that it feels like a knock-off almost (just not as refined). The coolest thing about the game is that you have a second ‘machine gun’ (fires like a pistol though) so you can have split fire instead of just being stuck in 8 directions. No grenades however. The last boss was ass. It was small and weak looking with easy patterns. Nice design though.

What do you guys think about Dodonpachi daioujou, Espgaluda, and Mushihimesama combo by Cave on PS2? I haven’t played any of those games, so do I really need all 3? If I’ve played one, have I played them all? Or do each of those games have their own unique charm that warrants a purchase?
Anyways, I’m thinking about getting a Japanese PS2 just for those games. Well, maybe not exactly for Cave games, as I have import PS1 games that need playing. I don’t want to get a modchip, but how about the Slide Card Combo 3.6 (with Swap Magic)?

Anyone ever play Soukyugurentai? What did you think of it? I missed the Saturn version, but I can pick up the PS1 game for cheap and rip it to my PSP… I’m interested because the music sounds like Radiant Silvergun’s (same composer), but other than that I don’t know a whole lot about the gameplay or anything else…
Seriously, if I ran things, a helluva lot more shooters would have the same kind of epic, military-like music as RS and Ikaruga…

It’s a puzzle shooter hybrid. Where enemies die blocks form and fall down in the background. Pressing a button over a group of 3 or more same colored blocks enhances your gun. RBGY are the differt colors for spread, rapid, homing, and something else. Has a construction paper look to it.

Yeah, there’s a readme file that gomes with the game when you DL it off of his site that tells you how to do it… in Japanese.
I tried figuring it out from the diagrams and I also tried using babelfish but it’s not precise enough. I don’t know how to actually make the file that you use for setting up the playlist, however the playlist itself I believe I can do as there’s a good example for it in the readme. So basically I don’t know how to make the game read that I have a BGM track set up.
Yeah Titanion is really cool, I like that it’s a Galaga based game haha.
Ketsui isn’t on Mame yet =/
