I definitely need to put in time practicing 1-3 in Raiden 4 cause man is it a pain. The boss is pretty easy besides one of its last patterns but the stage itself particularly near the end is brutal. I’ve just been reaction timing my way through it.
I’m aiming for a 2-ALL but from my last look at the rankings only one person has done it lol. I have to get a 1-ALL first before I even think of that anyway.
For some reason, Mushihimesama being renamed to Bug Princess for the iOS just doesn’t seem right (despite the fact that it’s an accurate translation of the name).
I think it’s a better name. Least now i can pronounce it and even better, remember how to fuckin spell it lol.
Bug Princess Hell: Ultra difficulty has the same bullet patterns as the arcade/ps2 version of the game. Very fun and difficult.
I pray we will see a port at some point in the future to x360.

Ok, I’ve been getting more into shmups lately. Question for anyone who knows, which would you go with for Dodonpachi: The Saturn version, or Resurrection on 360?
They’re both good games in the same series. Try one, and if you don’t like it, go to the other one. Dodonpachi is playable via MAME, though.
MUshihimesama is sick, just got it for my iPod. Great OST as well. 4.99 price point is really nice.

There shouldn’t be any excuse at this point really, what with DFK not having any loading times whatsoever.

Just played BP and DDP on an iPad. Big screen is nice, looking to get a bigger monitor next year or at least make a rotable stand for the current monitor. The shmups I have need to ne played with the monitor vertical.

I’m late to the Jamestown party but that isn’t stopping it from sucking up hours of my life. Has anyone tried out the Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot DLC? Looks interesting and for $1.50 it seems like a reasonable deal.
I have. Four new ships: one that has chargeable homing missiles (it’s slowed while charging, like Beam, but stupid quick when not, faster than other ships), one that slowly builds these rotating barrels that can be fired forward for big damage (think a variant of Charge), a ship that can make a ghost of itself and re-position that ghost (the ghost ignores shots/obstacles/etc. and fires forward and back), and a ship that randomly mimics one of the other 7 ships (when you die or the stage changes).
Sounds good. I’ll go ahead and snag the ship pack.
Steam SHUMP related I decided to give the Satazius demo a shot. A bit slow but not too bad, though the asking price seems a bit steep. I’ll likely just hold out until Ether Vapor Remaster drops.
Forgot all about Jamestown. Just spent a little bit of time with it. I really like the work done here and the I really like how the devs have options for pixel perfect resolutions.
The gunner seems really good at the moment but I’ve only just dug the surface of the difficulty.
