Played a lot of AE since release and I’m looking into switching to a better character really. When I can use Makoto and win more, when I’ve never practiced with her, there’s something wrong with how I play Ibuki. We’ll see.
Funny, I use Makoto as well. Guess we need to square off in that match as well >=)
I think Makoto might be getting a little too much credit. I mean don’t get me wrong, I can tell she’s gotten a lot better and all, but to be honest she almost felt the same fighting against her, just a lot faster lol.
I’ve never lost to a Makoto with Ibuki in Super that wasn’t my brother. I’ve played 4000-5000+ Makoto players a lot too. My brother can win because he’s played against Ibuki almost exclusively.
In AE, the first match I lost was to a Makoto who was a casual. I can keep with a couple of some of the best in the UK using her in AE. She’s a little faster, yeah, but a little being about 2/3 frames makesa huge difference. Especially since you need like a full extra combo to take her out with Ibuki now that she has more stamina, and Ibuki does less damage.

Yeah my win% over Makoto is extremely high as well, I’ve played against some amazing Makotos as well. She it noticeably faster, but I don’t know, she just didn’t feel like anything special. I’m sure I’ll be playing against a ton of Makoto soon since I know a lot of good players are picking her up around here, but for now I wouldn’t really be too worried about her. At least not when Yun is gonna be all the hotness now lol.
Yeah when I was playing I thought Yang was BAD, and the second I thought the match-up was fine, Yun comes along and makes me very worried. You do a lot better, I’ve found after watching your videos lol.
Lol thanks man. I was worried the first time I played Yang also since I played a good Yang before a good Yun, but that changed fast lmao. I wish I could have gotten something else besides day 1 footage so you guys could see what I ended up doing again him but oh well, we’ll know soon enough.
