It depends on the distance. At closest you are -11 on block. At farthest you are zero on block I believe.

Also I really do hope that they fix the hitbox on the second and third hit of the TC 4 so that it hits everyone if they are crouching or standing if they patch it.

Is TC4 her lp-mp-hp? It happens to alot of characters and happened alot in the ibuki versus Juri video which is why on characters that will whiff like Juri and blanka your better off using her lk-mk tc unless your sure it’ll hit unless your a beast then you can do her 1 frame bread and butter.

Sometimes the opponent is too far to link the 2nd hit of st.MP. Other times the Ibuki player wants to play it safe in case the st.LP wasn’t blocked, since if it’s blocked and they’re crouching, on some characters the 2nd hit of st.MP will whiff.

Oh I see. Whats more damaging? If I think it’ll whiff I’d go with her lk-mk TC but if the former is more damaging then I should just do that unless out of range.
Does the second hit of s.mp stand them up? I recall you posting s.mp makes them stand up

Obviously TC4 is way more damaging.

First hit of st.MP stands them up. But if it’s blocked, obviously it won’t.

NOTE: I’ll be updating the first post with noteworthy videos from SRK members. Just wanted to thank ClkJames for this thread, really great idea. I won’t feel intimidated if I post my match videos here haha. But as for training, add me guys! Sorry PSN only =P

I got a pretty interesting idea. We should gather and do team battles (Team Ibuki vs all). That way when we watch each other play and give better critique on the spot. See what works and what doesn’t on a more live and consistent basis.

Oh well… just an idea really…

2. Your BnB keeps getting dropped. (cr.LPx2, s.LP, s.MK xx ender)
3. You try to kunai and drop it as well when the kunai hits.
4. You got used to your BnB much, opt for more damaging combos like TC4 xx ender up close or just plain s.MK xx ender.
5. Lastly, your opponents don’t know how to block. But it’s clear they’re just average players so it’s really hard for me to notice anything else from these vids.

Out of all these I find #1 to be the main thing you should work on. I’ll never critique another video without it again.

Ok so I didn’t bother watching any of those vids except the Elf Fuerte one, since in the rest of them you won so obviously your opponent did a shit job of exemplifying your mistakes.

You played an ok Ibuki, good vortexing on round 1 (albeit it was basically the only thing you used), and ok kunai zoning but with Elf Fuerte’s mobility, he isn’t easy to kunai zone anyways. The main fault was that, basically, you don’t know how to block. Anytime Elf pressures you, it looks like you just eat every attack. You don’t block, you don’t make use of backdash, poor use of FA’s, and one time I see you mash hk.kazegiri even when Elf was out of range? I don’t know what the hell you were pressing (resolution was too low to make out what the inputs were on the right side) but if you’re falling for a simple sweep on wakeup, twice in a row… something is wrong. He barely even vortexed you, so no excuse there.

tl,dr: Work on your defense game; lrn2block.
