The Shinobi Secrets: Ibuki Video Thread

srk stalkers lol

this thread needs less drama and more ibuki vids :stuck_out_tongue:

Amen to that

Ill see if i can film and upload a few of mine for you guys, wont be the best quality but i guess its something

I got a good Idea why don’t you two love birds take it to messages so this thread can stay on topic lol. Or at least throw some video ups while you argue so the actual scrubs (like me) can learn from you. I hear the attitude comes along naturally so no need for sparring demonstrations for that lol.

Edit: Also should probably thank both of you for the vids you have already posted!! So thank you for that.

i’m sorry i’m just being a dick
will stop now
sorry guys

Hey Guys. alright i finally was able to do something >_> atleast post some of my Ibuki stuff online.i captured some stuff and i posted em on youtube and i would like u guys to give me some feedbacks (if u wanted). sadly for the really good matchs i wasnt able to save em just because i really didnt care bout saving replays, and when i noticed how important they were i discoverd that my replay blog was alrdy full (or the roaster been changed with new matchs…etc)…though soon enough i will upload some nice stuff and hope that u guys like em

anyways, from now on i will start capturing some of them matchs, specially that some of my friends got some really great skills and i really believe they deserve a chance to atleast let other people see what i see! (that they are good i mean)

these links at the bottom are not series stuff, think of it like am just gettin my feet to SRK community or to show that my ibuki is aint that bad :(!! also the fact that am not able to play online a lot is killing me, cause i seriously believe i could’ve been able to be one of the top Ibuki players in N.America section. soon i will enter this tournament in Philly, and i shall record it all and hopefully post em for u guys (lot of Ibuki stuff).

-Ibuki : Ibukizeme Style Tutorial.
A tutorial for all the Okizeme i usually use. i wasnt able to include everything thnx to my limited Editing / and capturing…so i really did my best. hopefuly i shall release a serious other vid for Ibuki which contains a lot of stuff that some peeps doesnt even know. for example;

1- Penguin kick traps on wake up or links from far distance
2- 1 frame link stuff on small chars >> jump with lk,f+mk, cr.lp, cr.MK, s.f+lp, s.f+lp into ~ Raida EX
3-Some weird Bugs where it puts Ibuki in some weird positions (yup yup!!)
4- Some counter combos that might be fun to watch

anyways hope u like it…and sorry for such HORRIBLE!! REALLY HORRIBLE editing and capturing lol

Basically how to play Ibuki for newbies

Some random Matchs:

  •
  •
  •
  •

PS: these matchs is just to show u guys that am into Ibuki…like nothing that flashy at all or even that skilled. tis just some fun matchs just to prove that i learned some nice stuff from this Awsm SRK community with some nice Ibuki players i met.

PS: PLEASE DONT TELL ME VORTEX THIS AND VORTEX THAT!!! if u dont want to see stuff like those in any match then simply dont play or watch stuff for ibuki…Ibuki = PURE OKIZEME/ vortex lol gosh…

^
Be careful of throwing kunais on forward jumps/superjumps. Any characters with the right hitbox on their aa (ie: dp) can knock both the kunai and Ibuki out of the air.

Alot of your setups I guess you try to make it look like block strings, but really your opponent has the frame advantage (ie: after a late thrown, blocked kunai). Try doing some of them again and have someone like Boxer mash jab out of it.

“Hey! …wait! I’m the victim here…! Guys?!”

ps. everyone knows the un-afk protocol is 3 jabs and a short.

lol Well Now I do

Me vs HAV’s ryu. http://www.justin.tv/automattock/b/264447903#r=9IZq72A~&s=li Starts at like 1min in

I was testing to see the connection if I stream and play with that many people in the room. It wasn’t too hot so I just stopped it after. Still a decent match to watch despite the delay.

Usually I can stream and play with like 3-4 people in one room and it’s not that big a deal. But this room was maxed out and I believe that messed with my upload.

Unlucky with the U2 at the end there, just wasn’t close enough xD

hey there. hmmm let me post u my description comment on youtube (cause apparently u didnt read it) (i dont blame u lol, i dont read description most of the times myself)

"Just a simple vid with different Okizeme/meaty kunai/vortex/traps…etc…tis like the Basics for Ibuki (could be kinda advanced), know those stuff and it will hopefully get u on ur feet to start Owning peeps with Ibuki. the idea is, i noticed a lot of peeps dont use some of those stuff in here while i actually find em very useful and i myself use em excessively. Feel free to ask if u wanted any explanations.

PS: the idea of this vid is not for combos or anything! tis purely mind games and traps (which means non of them are guaranteed if u do em blindly, they are very situational) "

so yah i know. as for the block setups, they are not block setups(if u though so, then u mis understood the idea of the vid). this vid is nothing but Purely idea’s, and hence am bad at editing capturing i was so bored to capture everything exactly so i just chained em in one setting (most of the stuff).

Note: even if the strings are not chainable after opponent blocking or having a frame advantage to counter/ reversal, doin these stuff doesnt mean u wont put ur opponent in mind gaming situation sometimes…right ? tis all a matter of understanding how to play and toy around with ur opponent that’s all

thnx for ur comment anyways Mingo

alright i made this scrubby nubby vid for people who were struggling with SJC dash after CT’s / or any other stuff like Tsumuji kick in block pressuring games or even penguin kick for funzies. hope it might be Helpful to any Newbies and GL

Quick Notations and description:

  • do the ct lp,mp,d+fk,fk. wait tell the last kick animation ends and then excute, qcf,f/u+ kick for dash’s (can be also doable by doin HCF or from d/b motion circle tell f/u)
dont rush it too fast, or be too late on executing. though u have good couple of frames to take ur time executing such a thing. be aware if u did a late SJC dash it will come out, though not chained after the Combo target! by means punishable.

here are all the option of chainable stuff right after CT>> SJC

-Neckbreaker : hcf,f/u+ P
-Penguin kick: b,d,b/d, b/u + k
-Tsumuji kick: qcb, b/u+k

Teef, thanks a ton sir!! I had no idea you could SJC into penguin kicks after that target combo! What a great set up for super!!

About 21 minutes in. PhillyOne/evildrakefang vs. Josh Wong (Balrog, old school CVS2 player).

^ that balrog match-up is rough

thx deviljin for finding those videos
