Yeah when u hit people with kunai vortex u need to be able to tell whether you’re close enough to land her close LP, MP, HP chain or too far away and need to resort to c.LP, s.LP or c.LP, s.LK, MK target combo. If someone blocks your close LP chain u definitely need to not throw neck break afterwards LOL. It’s easy to see and hear the block animation during that and just stop pressing buttons. When u play against good players that will be the death of u. Use a lot more far s.LP at closer ranges and always be looking to hit people with sweep when u can. Your focus attacks seemed to be doing a good job scaring people from attacking and I think focus attacking is going to be very important to defeating characters that don’t have rapid fire pokes like Claw. Good Claw players will know to s.HK your focus attacks since it’s 2 hits and very quick but it works well against his other pokes.
praise the lord, finally a high level ibuki vid
They’d likely catch his backdash in the air and reset him, opposed to knockdown? I will test it tonight. If they can get the knockdown and keep him close, they’d def make the better option.
@Dashio’s IB… finally, I have JP daddy to look up to in this game~
edit: tested, and I was right, blade kicks cause air reset on his backdash.
I’m kinda waiting for the Japanese to really put these characters in tournaments first. Right now I’m picking out things here and there to use but I’m not really seeing a lot that’s making me go “hmmm…that’s definitely going to beat a year long tournament playing Ryu or Rufus”. Looks like the Japanese are learning slowly as well.
Nice play by Diasho.
Come on DJ01 bro the fob’s will help but it’s not like we cant figgure this shit out ourself’s el duderino.
Yeah that’s the whole point I’m trying to make. Everyone’s waiting for the Japanese to make Makoto good. I’m not trying to wait for the Japanese to make Ibuki good.

This is getting insane ibuki is a problem :woot:
It’s all good. Ibuki has another safe jump on Sagat after Raida. Dash x 2 then jump MK OS neckbreaker.
Uppercut whiffs.
Backdash gets neckbreakered.
Forward dash gets crossed up.
Ultra I gets blocked.
umm i just have one question…how is that Ibuki that great >>?..like i seriously see nothing new nor that Impressive in that vid >>.
i decided am gonna post some of my replays on youtube in that case, cause seriously i didnt see ANYTHING fascinating bout this Ibuki at all! and everyone is commenting on how amazing it’s…dammit now i sound like a jackass, but i dont care i will seriously post some of my matchs
hmm Gameinn is diago? will actually after watching the vid again, the guy is aint bad at all (considering the fact this biatch is RYU and Diago).though i stand stil to wut i said, i didnt see anything that was like WOW…so guess props to him anyways, a great ibuki player.
though still, i will upload some matchs of mine and i would really like people to comment on em, wither they SUCK (as my skills), wither they are not that bad…just to know wuts goin on if my ibuki doin good and goin toward the right directin or not.
does dashio have another vids with Ibuki ? i searching on youtube and didnt find anything but this vid
Difference between Dashio’s Ibuki, and the others that we’ve seen is very simple: patience. Other then that, pretty much the same old Ibuki stuff we’ve been talking about which is what makes it even better when we see stuff work in action. He had an amazing 2nd round combo by using the CD mix-up, and throws. Used the Hien in ways that some may not have even thought about to do, and others may have but just didn’t put it into play. And he also showed us how bad-ass she can be by using one of her best AA’s into Kazikiri for the win.
What wasn’t awesome about his Ibuki? All it did was show a different side of Ibuki play outside of the crazy rushdown and vortex shenanigans that we’ve been seeing more off. Hell, he used more j.LK for the cross-up more then anything! Didn’t even use a single Kunai to start a vortex. So compared to what we’ve all been stuck on about her vortex/kunai crazyness with neckbreaker and shit, he went and decided to do it his way. Kind of like how another user named Alex did the same thing.
So I ask again: How could you not think his Ibuki was great in the first place Teef o.0
Time for me to hit the lab again…
Hey man, ty for replying, awsm of u. first off, u actually opend my eyes in a section which is awsm, i wasnt aware of. i myself,i find the Vortex are very needed, though against Ryu ken and sagat tis completly Different in my opinoin (that’s how i play, and from wut i seen, he does the same).
secondly, i swear i dont mean to show off, but so far nobody beat me in ssf4 as Ibuki (wither at my community, or online which i dont play massively due to a lot of lame reasons,or usual friends matchs). i’ve been having this feeling that most of the vids posted (matchs for ibuki) were like, not wut i need or not wut i do. on the same hand i always see flows and mistakes. how i see ibuki is that in every thing! she has opportunity to counter opponent, in every situation! u just have to know em all( aint am right?)
i know i sound like a jackass and like…that i think of myself as a superb!! am not, and if i did then i dont mean it. am new to the game and just started playing sf4 before ssf4 comes out by 3 weeks (even less). but on the other hand, so far i didnt see a single Ibuki player that made me Imitate him or be like WOW! the only ibuki which am gonna follow from now on is (daisho, cause his ibuki was good) and the guy from Option select vids (who plays with Ibuki).
though again, as i said above, i take my words back…and from wut u said, u made it actually clear…so yea this guy is so far the best Ibuki i’ve seen
Also i will capture some of my matchs in a bit so u guys watch it, and i will keep capturing and uploading vids bout ibuki (am even gonna do vids for her beside the matchs, some stuff there some people are not aware of…so hopefuly wont be a bad idea to release those vids for the people that helped me learn ibuki u know, like contribute a bit to be a part of this haha)
to reply to your question: am actually wrong, after watching daisho again and again, he proved he’s skilled…and ty for lettin me be aware of such a thing. though again, i see it natural cause that’s wut i do against ryu, and kens. so maybe am just used doin it that way so i wasnt surprised . dont forget good ryu and ken will always turtle and put pressure on there side retreating, doin nothing but waiting for the perfect opportunity to own u!! beside the fact that forward Vortex will always be counterd by DP’s and others, as well as corss over vortex are blockable by anyone ya know. so ur only chance is stoping him with stuff like j.lk into chains ,mind games , anti air…etc(vortex will always be stopped by any person if they know how to block it…so tis all mind game ya know)
and…that’s it man, ty so much for ur reply i really appreciate it:). i will post my vids in these coming hours and i hope u guys like em or atleast find anything that is /are usefull in em
The Beholder
Yeah Dashio definitely had some neat little tricks in there but there was nothing about his offense that was particularly scary per say. Personally when I’m looking at Japanese videos if I don’t see any wild shit then I’m not going to hold it in real high regard. Obviously his Ibuki is going to be decent because he’s a top Japanese fighting game player and was a top Viper player in SFIV but he hasn’t really done anything that I haven’t seen yet other than using hien on wake up to cross up DP’s. Which might not be a bad idea. Other than that he just blocked and pressed c.LP a lot like you’re supposed to do. LOL. I know 6 months from now if Dashio sticks with Ibuki it’s going to look completely different. There will be so much more discovered by then.
i wasnt particularly impressed by dashios play… but then again i wasnt NOT impressed by it either… it was ok… he won so kudos to that.
seriously though what makes the japs so good is that they just practice there execution to the EXTREME… i wouldnt be surprised to hear that some of there top executional players are in training mode 3 or more hours EVERYDAY practicing ONE combo that they can already do 8 times out of 10 in matches…
i aint nearly that dedicated, and i doubt most americans are. but yeah, they havent had a chance yet to take shit to training mode and level up REALLY well… it takes time… for instance dashio seems to be practicing ibukis cr.lpx2 st.mk xx tsumuji link… he missed it a couple of times in the vid, but thats online…
like DJ said, 6 mos from now is when you are going to be seeing some jap ibukis busting out some crazy shit.
and i fully believe it will be about a year or so until we start to REALLY see some crazy joe viper, marn viper, flash viper shit from ibuki.
i personally aint waiting for jap payers to show us the way. id rather figure out as much myself on these american shores than take there shit.
however if that fool SAKO happens to take up ibuki… iwill DEFINITELY be watching that shit with baited breath… sako is the man and has a ridiculous akuma and viper so its natural that he might take up the ibuki cause.

This is exactly whats the difference. Justin Wong also said that he just mainly practiced combo’s in the training room so that he could pull them off 100% at any time. I think thats the reason why he’s on a ‘japanese level’.
Also, I’m ranked as the 4th Ibuki in Europe psn woo!!
