one thing i noticed now is that my main monitor isnt the same resolution as alot of other monitors have. i got 1680x1050 no wonder it felt like akumas sweep reached so long on those asus monitors!

Is there a list of characters who the second hit of cl.st.hk whiffs on? it whiffs on rufus crouching but not cammy?!
apperently cl.st.hk sjc lk command dash is -2 on block.the guy who made the cr.hp kunai chart told me that.
im gonna start using f.lk in blockstrings because it has little pushblock. If its ch its +4 so its easy to combo into st.lp st.mk!
note: Noone complained that i didnt cancel b+mp into command dash :S which i have never done in a match but doing it in training mode just to get comfortable with it.
I’m pretty sure cl.st.HK being -2 on block has been thrown around a few times on these forums. I should know, because I remember testing it and telling everyone lol.
I wasn’t aware that cl.st.HK ever whiffed on any characters. Kind of lazy to test, but my guess is that it doesn’t work on characters that can crouch TC10 (ie: Rufus and Chun).

I’m just saying blocking saves your booty immensely. The match up isn’t that bad. People hear someones opinion and think it’s the end all be all. Is Cammy annoying to deal with? YUP. Is she unbeatable? FUCK NO. Just because people don’t want to be patient or put in the work FOR THEMSELVES they feel that other accomplished players don’t have valid opinions just because it’s not what so-n-so says.
Tiers and match ups are theory. Just keep that in mind. I’d take the Ibuki with the match up knowledge > the Cammy with just a basic game plan.
Considering that I have video proof and you don’t, I’d say I probably know more about WC3 stuff than you.
Blocking is great until you get thrown. Getting thrown a couple of times is great until it sets up an unblockable. Teching throws is great as well until for some reason Cammy (possibly the only character next to Sakura or CViper) can get her max damage punish combo off a frame trap (rather, autopilot-able dive kick which serves as an automatic frame trap).
Someone’s opinion, or everyone’s opinion? Pretty much every top player has agreed Cammy is top tier. Pretty much every top Ibuki player, with the exception of Buktooth, has agreed that Ibuki vs Cammy is a bad matchup. Nobody is saying Cammy is unbeatable. They’re saying that the matchup is fucking hard as fuck. The fact that an Ibuki with matchup knowledge can still very easily lose to a Cammy on autopilot (or “a basic game plan”, as you put it) serves my point.
Just theory? Okay, so from what I have seen in tournament results, very rarely if ever do I see a high level Ibuki beat a high level Cammy.
Seeing as my last sponsor before I retired was vVv Gaming and I have played everywhere amateur and even professional leagues throughout my career in WC3 I’m gonna have to say no, you don’t know more than I do about the game.
Bad matchup? Who gives a shit. It’s winnable and it isn’t really that bad. It’s more of a who gets their game going than anything.
Just like UDvO was winnable, amirite? So far, you haven’t given any evidence or ideas as to how Ibuki should beat/match Cammy. You’ve just been spewing nonsense that every Ibuki in the world (for about >2 years now) has been doinitwrong, etc.
WCR is filled with retards. Very few people worth a damn haven’t been banned. I never said anything about it was wrong. It’s just that the reason behind it is when they patched the 4 peon mine it was because the pathing on some spawns you didnt even have to do it because it automatically optimized the peons movement. Microing the peons overrides the pathing fix.
UD vs Orc is really map dependant more than anything. If Orc gets certain maps they’ll more than likely win. And No, Ibuki vs Cammy ISNT that bad. It’s not even close. I’ve played with Sweet, GoStop, Anas, and ReiGn and they’ve always thought it was annoying but not unwinnable.
Ibuki has just as good of a mix up game as cammy does, in fact, I’d say hers is braindead easy because you can do chains relatively safely and get out of dodge if you fuck up. The only real problem I’ve had with Cammy is her standing roundhouse. That being said since that move is so strong you may have to FADC through it and just block/tech throws a few times to try and get a read. I can say the same bullshit people on here do, OH WELL CAMMY CAN ONLY BLOCK AND THEN DOES NO DAMAGE OR SHE CAN TECH THROWS ALL DAY BUT WHAT IF YOU GUESS WRONG HUGE MIXUP. It’s the same damn thing.
Cammy is top tier, and so is Ibuki. Cammy’s damage potential is really good and doesn’t require the same match up knowledge or spacing knowledge as Ibuki’s. If you’re all good enough with your character it shouldn’t matter. I’d say its a 6-4 match up in Cammy favor due to her poking abitilty on her normals (which can be counter pokes with the right moves)

Correct. If Orc gets SV, it’s pretty much impossible for UD to win. Then again I can’t think of a single WC3 map (unless they refreshed the map pool?) where UD has any clear advantage over Orc.

Yes we know both characters have excellent mixup-ability; nobody is debating this. I’d argue that Cammy’s rushdown is nearly infinite thanks to derpkicks, while Ibuki’s is more limited, but okay fine.
The primary problem is how easily and efficiently Cammy can control the pace of the match. Ibuki has very little if any control at the midrange. Her slow walk speed in comparison to Cammy’s 2nd best in the game walkspeed is a significant hindrance, as well as Cammy’s derpkick. Getting a knockdown with Ibuki is much much harder than getting a knockdown with Cammy.
We’re talking about this one matchup, not tier lists which are based on the entire game’s matchups. Cammy and/or Ibuki being top tier does not relate to this matchup being bad for Ibuki. Lastly, last I checked, 6-4 is a pretty shitty matchup.
