Surprisingly after watching that clip it does look pretty damn good. My question is why would Capcom put more effort into this game and not CFE? However since its anime based the likelyhood of it coming to the states is probably nill unless Cartoon Network picks up this anime in the future like Naruto.
Why are people in this thread saying that Capcom won’t create SF4 because it doesn’t have mass appeal - in a thread about a cel-shaded manga-based game that will likely never be released outside of Japan?

The only thing that puts me off this game is ring outs… I always find stages with these kind of gimicky, as the game tends to be stage specific and not character specific.
HEY YOU GUYS. Capcom isn’t making this game, they are only publishing it. It’s being developed by 8ing(they made some of the BLOODY ROAR games). Also, it won’t be getting an American localization.

I can’t remember a single 3D fighter Capcom put out that was worth getting excited about. I mean, I liked Project Justice and all, but still.
On the other hand, this could be Capcom of Japan’s biggest game since Grand Theft Auto San Andreas!

Yeah,this project has nothing to do with Capcom at all aside from publishing it. Basically, Capcom got the rights to publish the game, sought an outsource company to develop it, and that was that.
Capcom didn’t even make it after all.
But it doesn’t matter, because fanboys like this would buy rape simulators starring their moms, just as long as the Capcom logo is on the corner of the box.

They could have if they really wanted to. Kaneto Shiozawa’s unfortunate death did not stop ASW from continuing to use Zato-1/Eddie, nor were any of the numerous characters that he’s played over the years (Rei from HnK, Dhaos from ToP) never end up getting adequate replacements, if it was saw fitting for those characters to appear again.
So, if they really wanted, they could have made a new RS, with or without Hyo some how getting a miraculous ressurection. The fact is, is that Capcom is either just lazy, or can’t be bothered to take another risk on an established franchise that may not go over well.
Actually, Kaneto Shiozawa’s passing was the reason Daisuke Ishiwatari killed off Zato, as he didn’t want anyone else voicing the character.
So that’s why his name changed from Zato-1 to Eddie?
