Kinda skeptical. Probably nothing team related like Rival Schools. Hope it turns out to be decent.
Just what I was thinking.
Capcom staff have shuffled around quite a bit since the Street Fighter days. A game by “Capcom” doesn’t really mean anything to me, as there’s plenty of folks within the company who wouldn’t know the first thing about fighting games.
Still screenies mean nothing to anybody but eyecandy whores and people who enjoy doing things like bitching about low-res sprites. Gameplay is where it’s at, and I’m not going to judge this thing until I get to play it hands-on.
And yes, I’m a Capcom fanboi. But I’m still a realist. As excited as I am to see another Capcom fighter, it means nothing until I play it.
Looks like they are practicing for sf4
I was waiting for one of those comments to appear.
Looks crappy. I have more faith in anime girlz faiter.
If it plays anything like Rival Schools then I’m sold.
This can’t be seriously anymore worse than CFJ, so I’m going to hope for this one, and maybe this will get them off their asses, and I agree if it plays anything like Rival Schools I’ll be converted to play this game too.
Hopefully soon they’ll have actual vids of it up soon, would love to see how it moves.
ahahah
its a fighting game based off of History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi.
Horrible manga…let’s hope the game is better than the story!
some of you are hyping this game up, like someone said who is actually doing the programming for this game? for all we know capcom hired some jungle crazy monkeys to make it.
looks more like they failed at making sf4 so quickly put in characters from a random manga
whatever happens with that
i got dibs on the blonde dude he looks top tier
plz be a charge character omg
yea and the female anatomy looks extremely exaggerated and slutty
i like that
I’m looking forward to playing this game…
hopefully it comes to xbox…
i see cameltoe
this game outta be good! :wonder:
Meh.
I don’t think that’ll happen, but it’s worth hoping- just remember that it’s based of an anime/manga series so chances are they’ll most likely use moves from the series, just like they did with JoJo’s B.A.
Do Capcom’s VS games count as “fighting game experience”? People keep saying that since the SF developers left, they don’t have anyone left to make a good fighter like people can’t learn. The SF team didn’t create SF2 with the level of experience that some of us say is neccessary to make a decent fighter, they started small with SF1. This game is a small start. When you think about how Capcom could’ve just slapped the Street Fighter name on a below average to shitty fighter with hopes of getting more sales through IP recognition(much like Final Fight:Streetwise for a shitty beatem’up), it becomes clear that this Kenichi game is to surve two purposes:
-Test the waters(future Capcom fighters depending on the success of this game)
-Train a team of developers
Bashing this game before it’s made doesn’t seem in the best interests of the hardcore fighting community.
Or it may just be a low key fighter that’ll never make a US port that isn’t meant to be played seriously. Capcom could just be happening to make a fighting game with no motives to ever make another hardcore fighter but since this is the company that made SF we make it into a big deal.
For a minute I thought I’d have to say that. I know I’m not the only one looking.
good points,
it’s really too bad though, i love streetfighter and i’m sure almost everyone recognizes Ryu and Ken characters. I believe the streetfighter license was sold to an american company, i dont understand why, people will buy a shitty streetfighter game even if it’s streetfighter (example: EX 3). Well maybe not, but if they had put in some bloody effort to a new streetfighter game (post-3rd strike) maybe it would sell better. EX 3 was sloped together at the last moment, ryu’s frikin nose was soo huge.
sigh, and if it is a new developer team then there’s no way they are talented enough to incorporate advanced phyics in 3D like parrying and other things. And therefore the gameplay depth wouldn’t compare to something like virtua fighter/3rdstrike. I just love whining with pessimism rather than being optimistic, excuse me :).
I still fail to understand why Capcom feel they can’t make money off 2D fighters when SNKP and Sammy are pumping them out like beer…
Oh fuck, the Japanese on this site translates to “Street Fighter 4!!!”
