Didn’t really want to dig tihs out of the grave, but had a question.
Play-asia isn’t selling this game anymore, anyone know where I might be able to pick it up?
Now that someone rise this thread from his grave, i read a lot of pages and this is all an “Anime story/Manga chapters/Arc commentary” thread, i was somewhat hyped for this game when Capcom confirm it for the first time (it was a Capcom fighting game released in a time when you believe that this will never happen again) and the videos seems nice, but i never heard more about this… is a decent fighting game? its like Rival Schools? its too broken?
From what I understand. It plays like DoA, but with hitstun.
It’s a fun manga fighter to mess around with, you enjoy it a little more if you are a fan of the anime or manga. Still, it’s not meant to be played competively really, like a lot of manga fighters that have come out in the past (not gonna name any before someone says “NO THAT GAME IS DEEP” SRK style… ). Everyone has the same joystick motions so it’s easy to get into, like for people starting out to play fighting games. There are some things you may want to know like what character is above who else and what style works better for everybody though you will be able to get the gist of it after a while. But Kenichi’s not that deep, really IMHO. It’s a 7 out of 10 for me.
You have to go through the story mode to unlock all of the characters and it’s difficult if you can’t understand Japanese. I’m fairly sure there’s a guide in this thread somewhere that would help you out with that though, or you can always just PM me and I’ll help out and stuff no prob.
Thanks, to be honest i was thinking that this game was much more deep because i remember in the Trailer that the game got 3 “systems” or something like that, with counters and some shit.
I know some Japanese but i never read Kenichi, just saw the first chapter of the Anime… generic protagonist and some hueg bubz girls… but maybe i will keep an eye on it again. I will check the game, thx!
It’s just a fun combo-based fighter. There is actually some depth with the defensive options, but most of the time you’ll just be doing strings and combos over and over.
And Kenichi the series is not bad. It might look generic at first but there’s some crazy shit later on.
Seriously though, does anyone know where I could get this game?
Yeah, Odin is VERY BEASTLY at the end.
that depends, you want it in a legal form or illegal?
