My point is you don’t have problems dealing with it because your characters are in the restrict group of those able to contain Abigail. With Zeku I don’t either, but I can understand the general feeling about Abigail. Of all the cast he wasn’t the one who need more buffs, especially with those funky hitboxes.
I agree with everything, except that Karin needs one-hit hit confirms at low/mid level . She has plenty confirms off of regular hit and counter hit (cr.mp, st.mp and st.lk, all plus on block) to reliably two-hit hit confirm. Getting meaties off of basically everything helps too.
Capcom just trolls like they did in SF4 AE with Yun and Yang straight OP, isn’t just the laziness about getting good or not. Not everyone have the will and time to learn another character just to deal with a bad mu. That isn’t what Capcom promise about balance, especially with e-sports and all the money on it. I’m not against having characters stronger than others, but why improving a character who doesn’t need these improvements when low tiers are still there at the bottom? The game needs to be fun for everyone, atm an Abi player definitely have more fun than a Ryu or Alex player, with the latter don’t have enough firepower to compete. They wasted their time (and money) behind characters with no future. If you aren’t in love with someone else in the game, you’re fucked. Having secondaries needs to be a choice, not something you’re forced to.
Balance isn’t perfect and never will be. At least you can avoid doing wrong choices. Abi was good even in S2, he wasn’t on top of the list of characters in need for buffs. It’s still early, but isn’t hard to understand he has something more than big part of the competition without a reason. Capcom will tone him down for sure with the result of making Abi lovers pissed, what’s the point then? Some are crying loud because now beating Abigail feels like surviving a tornado. Capcom itself created the nerf the OP character mayhem since SF4, so I don’t see them stopping soon.
I don’t think you need months to realise how absurd Abigail and Rashid are.
The idea with Abigail isn’t that good MU bad MU thing. It is the dumb fundemental design of a character that can win with 2 random hit’s and do 50% from an Ex command grabs.
Personally the only thing I can’t stand about Abigail are his hurtboxes. His ability of doing 3/4 lights combo is just the cherry on top, the Vesper video explained well the situation. Practically if you can’t hit him from downtown, you’re fucked.
Sandbag is a pretty good guy. Has a lobby open with two silver rank players, watching them play, offering advice, and playing long sets against them. Gootecks would charge like 100USD (or whatever the fuck he charges) an hour to do what he is doing.
This was already known. Surely ArcSys and Namco released the entire list of DLC characters ahead of time, I mean Capcom got crucified for the not doing so in Season 1 and 2 of SFV. What’s that…everyone hides who the DLC characters are and only Capcom got shit for doing it. Well…you don’t say.
